Request to join the DPMT
Hello, I would like to prepare and maintain the python package for resampy [1, 2] within the Debian Python Modules Team. I currently maintain other python packages in other teams but I'm not a DD/DM so I will need someone to sponsor uploads. My user ID on salsa is antonio.valentino. I have read the team policy [3] and I accept it. Request to join the DPMT
[Re-sending again, this time using my full name, my @debian e-mail address and a gpg signature.] Hi -python, I'd like to join the DPMT! I am going to package omgifol[1] (python3-omg), a Python library for reading, manipulating and writing WAD files, i.e. Doom game data files. My plan is to use this library (instead of deutex) to create individual desktop icons for each Doom game in game-data-packager[2]. Currently, I own the corresponding ITP[3] originally opened by jmtd back in 2005. My salsa login is "fabian". I have read and accepted the policy in https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/tools/python-modules/blob/master/policy.rst Thanks! - Fabian [1] https://github.com/devinacker/omgifol [2] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=803930 [3] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=354732 signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part

Note that I'd like to wait before adding todoman there, until the migration to git is complete (I've already started the packaging, and I don't use svn). I'd also like to add khard there. I am essentially involved in the Debian Science Team, but I am also working with Python dependencies which are more generic and would be better suited for team-maintenance here. Request to join the DPMT
Dear Debian Python Modules Team, I would like to join the team with the initial goal of maintaining the python-jellyfish package, which has currently ITP [1] and RFS [2] status, under the umbrella and guidance of the team. The jellyfish package is a dependency needed for updating the beets [3] package, which I currently contribute to in the upstream repository [4]. Once I learn the ropes, I would love to lend a hand with any other packages - not only beets itself but hopefully any other packages that need work, in the hopes of giving back to Debian after many years being a regular user. I have been working professionally with Python for the last 5 years in a number of projects, most of them related to Django as well, and occasionally make some small-time code contributions to related packages on their ecosystem (such as django-extensions and py-authorize). Alternatively, I'd also welcome guidance and/or sponsorship, in case joining the team is deemed a bit premature or undesired for any reason. I have worked on the package for the last couple of weeks on mentors [5], hopefully adhering to the recommended Debian practices, but the work has not been formally reviewed yet. My alioth login name is "diegom-guest". I have read the DPMT policy [6] and I accept it. Request to join the DPMT team
Hi, I want to join the DPMT team. My main goal is to help to maintain some packages which I maintain upstream. For example, the python-kiwi package. It is very outdated on Debian and when I contacted its maintainer he said that I should fell free to takeover the maintainership and to contact someone from the DPMT team to sponsor my upload. I'm already familiar with packaging as I'm currently maintaining a PPA used to deploy Stoq [1], an open source retail system that is developed by the company I work (Async Open Source). Not only I package new versions of stoq and its dependencies that we develop (python-kiwi, stoqdrivers), but I also package some python libraries that are not in the official Ubuntu repositories. For example, weasyprint, python-tinycss and python-pyphen which I packaged from scratch, and others like python-cssselect which I backported from debian itself. Those which I packaged from scratch I want to upload to upload to debian too. Btw, I'm Debian testing/sid user since 2011. I have read the DPMT policy page [2] and I accept it. My alioth login is 'hackedbellini-guest'. I just created it. Please let me know how should I proceed now.
