This BUG was fixed, but hal/halevt will probably be removed from Debian
after the release of squeeze, see [1].

In [2] and [3] you can get the last work of the halevt Debian package.

Bug#588072: giftui: should this package be removed?

giftui seems like a candidate for removal from Debian:

* orphaned
* low and declining popcon
* inactive upstream (last activity was a comment on a bug in 2006)

In addition, since GiFTui is a GUI for file-sharing networks, it's
network-facing (so, potentially security-sensitive), and is not useful if the
networks/protocols it uses are no longer popular (I don't know whether they
are).

If you want to keep this package around in Debian, please adopt it and close
this bug.

If you don't think it's worth keeping, please send the following commands
to cont...@bugs.debian.org, replacing nn with this bug's number:

severity nn normal
reassign nn ftp.debian.org
retitle nn RM: giftui -- RoM; orphaned, low popcon, inactive upstream
