The problem is just that libQtUiTools.a has been built with the binutils
from unstable, which introduce new relocation types. The .o object files
(and thus static libraries) generated by binutils from unstable
therefore can't be processed by the one from testing.

Package: src:linux
Version: 3.16.7-ckt9-2
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software

Dear Maintainer,

in advance:
I'm aware that the kernel is most likely not the correct package for this
report. But with respect to the intended Jessie release date and because I
trust you are much more qualified to track this down than I am I file this as
some general 'architecture bug'.
Please feel free to re-assign, downgrade or ignore this matter alltogether if
you think 'video' is of no concern in i586 anyway.

I recently dist-upgraded a PC with an AMD K6-2 CPU and found that video players
(mplayer2, vlc) crash with an 'illegal instruction' message when trying to play
a video. Web browsers (midori (from Wheezy), qupzilla, xombrero) also crash
with the same message when trying to load a multimedia-heavy website (e.g.
youtube).
I also verified this on another computer with an Intel Pentium MMX CPU and with
a LinuxBBQ 'Popcorn Lite' Live CD, which is mostly a Sid Live CD from September
2014 running an i486 kernel. [1]
This problem might or might not be similar to bug #742154.

To reproduce this, install Jessie on any i586 hardware (note: installing the
i586 kernel on i686 hardware will not reveal this problem), install one of the
video players mentioned above and try to play a video. The player window will
appear and the program will crash once the first image should be displayed.
Example for vlc:

$ vlc bigbuckbunny240p.flv
VLC media player 2.2.0-rc2 Weatherwax (revision 2.2.0-rc1-118-g22fda39)
[08b4c1b8] pulse audio output error: PulseAudio server connection failure:
Connection refused
[08ab48f8] core libvlc: VLC wird mit dem Standard-Interface ausgeführt.
Benutzen Sie 'cvlc', um VLC ohne Interface zu verwenden.
Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_r200.so: Kann die Shared-Object-Datei
nicht öffnen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
Ungültiger Maschinenbefehl

Example for mplayer2 is here [2].

Alternatively install one of the browsers I mentioned and surf to youtube.com.
The browser window will start, large parts of the website will be loaded and
displayed and once video images are or should be displayed (depending on
browser), the brower will crash. No video has to actually be played (nor can
it).
Example for qupzilla:

$ qupzilla youtube.com
QupZilla: 0 extensions loaded
Ungültiger Maschinenbefehl

For completeness /proc/cpuinfo [3] for the AMD K6-2 and /proc/cpuinfo and lspci
-v for the Pentium MMX [4].
I opened a thread for this in the unofficial German Debianforum [5], up to now
to no avail.

Hey,

i can load kmz files with marble 4:15.08.3-1, when using dolphin to select a
kmz.

wget -O nodes.kmz http://db.leipzig.freifunk.net/uptime/google_earth/nodes/

Can you please be more verbose, what doesn't work for a specific kmz file?

Bug#800786: fix upstream in 15.12

Hey,

i checked the current status of this openUrl patch and it is already fixed
upstream. So this bug can be closed when 15.12 is uploaded.

commit 04aeb609932880caf0fe7103792039a497c4c5df
Author: Stefan Bauer
Date: Sat Nov 7 19:28:55 2015 +0100

MarblePart::openFile(): Create a working QUrl from the selected files

The file open dialog returns the path(s) as QString.
MarblePart::openUrl() expects a QUrl.
The previous implicit conversion from QString to QUrl creates broken
QUrl instances because the file:// protocol is missing.
Fix this by calling QUrl::fromLocalPath() explicitly.

The additional dependency is useful to make sure that the bridge is
there, but it is not activated by default, i.e. one can not just start
the screen reader to get access to already-running applications. We
need to set QT_ACCESSIBILITY to 1 for that, which will enable some parts
of qt-at-spi so that the screen reader can access already-running
applications. I planned to do that in the at-spi2-core package once Qt
people tell me it's OK to do it.

Bug#807557: kde-telepathy-text-ui: steals focus on new chat window

2015-12-10 Thread Dominik George
Package: kde-telepathy-text-ui
Version: 15.08.3-1
Severity: normal

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA256

When a new conversation comes in, a new chat window is opened. It
immediately steals the focus and sets it to the message input box.

Today was not the first time my sudo password acidentally made its way
into the caht box of some contact who said hello in the wrong moment
(luckily, I noticed before hitting enter).

This even happens when the enw window is added as a new tab while
chatting, switching to the new chat in mid-sentence.

Thank for this explanation. If I understand correctly this issue should
be resolved when binutils (2.25.90.20151209-1) migrates to testing,
which should happen in 5 days unless something block it.

Kind Regards,

Bas

Bug#807590: soprano: FTBFS on m68k due to mismatched symbols file

2015-12-10 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Source: soprano
Version: 2.9.4+dfsg-3
Severity: important
User: debian-...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: m68k

Hello!

soprano currently FTBFS on m68k because the symbols file is mismatched
for this architecture. Please use diff provided by the buildd log [1]
to update your symbols file.

At first glance, it seems it should be enough to remove "m68k" from all lines
in the symbols file which contain "(optional=gccinternal|arch=alpha m68k sh4)"
but this should be carefully verified for all symbols which are mismatched
according to the build log.

Thanks,
Adrian

Bug#793739: frameworkintegration: Should not depend on fonts-oxygen

2015-12-10 Thread Maximiliano Curia
Control: tag -1 + wontfix

As a side note: The current version of frameworkintegration depends on
fonts-noto-hinted as this is the new recommended default in plasma 5, which
should look better in cases where fonts-oxygen might not looks so nice (mostly,
anti-aliasing values other than slightly).

About the issue, I think that the dependency should stay, as this package is
the responsible to configure the default font globally for kf5 apps, and the
installation cost for the additional package dependency is small enough. Thus,
I'm tagging this bug as wontfix.

Happy hacking,

I'm not sure if the bug was generated due to a missing dependency, or was a bug
in the kauth sddm helper. But I can't reproduce the issue using the current
unstable packages.

Are you still able to reproduce the issue?

If so, could you provide a list of the packages installed (dpkg
--get-selections) in the machine that triggers the issue?

Happy hacking,
