Bug#830867: kmail: Identity drop-down in mail editor vanished
Hi, > Please check that you have the identity field enabled (composer window, > view, identity). indeed, it was unchecked. This fixes the problem. However, I am a bit annoyed by KMail changing its own setting with every update. Last time, it magically enabled the Reply-To filed in the composer - this time, it disabled Reply-To, disabled Identity and enabled the From field. -nik -- PGP-Fingerprint: 3C9D 54A4 7575 C026 FB17 FD26 B79A 3C16 A0C4 F296 Dominik George · Mobil: +49-1520-1981389 Teckids e.V. · FrOSCon e.V. · OpenRheinRuhr e.V. Most applications and certain notification area icons still respond, but the task bar and desktop don't recognize the right mouse click any more. It is unclear if this was caused by the KDE upgrade or some other event. I already tried creating a clean user account and logging into that, but the problem persists. Because until the bug reports started coming in, it was not known. In the future it is very likely that measures will be taken so that all those framework packages do migrate at the same time, but I'm not aware of a method to undo the past. That's why I've written that mail to the mailing list to warn people about the issue and to offer a possible workaround/fix. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
Bug#830762: kmail: empty folders list
¡Hola Thorsten! El 2016-07-11 a las 10:43 +0200, Thorsten Glaser escribió: Package: kmail Version: 4:4.14.10-2 Severity: serious Justification: makes the package unusable After the recent KDEPIM-related updates (including involving a wallet migration, which seems to have worked, and a reboot, so the last traces of old Akonadi/KDEPIM are gone from the process table), parts of Kontact stop working altogether. You haven't upgraded kmail, so it seems that you haven't a fully upgraded kdepim. Make sure that you have the version 4:16.04.2-2 installed. The same happens for the Calendar component – the bottom-left part which normally holds the various calendars and their colours is empty. Similarly, korganizer also needs to be upgraded to 4:16.04.2-2. Interestingly enough, the Feeds component not only works but shows very up-to-date content (as of this morning), so it’s not a general Kontact problem. That's akregator.
