I have uploaded a patched version to unreleased for the time being.

However, fixing this should be a no-brainer and wouldn't affect anything else.

Bug#1057662: src:k3b: fails to migrate to testing for too long: new Build-Depends not available everywhere

2023-12-06 Thread Paul Gevers

Source: k3b
Version: 22.12.3-1
Severity: serious
Control: close -1 23.08.2-1
Tags: sid trixie
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: out-of-sync

Dear maintainer(s),

The Release Team considers packages that are out-of-sync between testing
and unstable for more than 30 days as having a Release Critical bug in
testing [1]. Your package src:k3b has been trying to migrate for 31 days
[2]. Hence, I am filing this bug. The version in unstable has a new
Build-Depends that's not available on armel, ppc64el and s390x. Please
help the maintainer of qtwebengine5-dev to get that package available on
those architectures, drop the Build-Depends or request the removal of
your package on those architectures.

If a package is out of sync between unstable and testing for a longer
period, this usually means that bugs in the package in testing cannot be
fixed via unstable. Additionally, blocked packages can have impact on
other packages, which makes preparing for the release more difficult.
Finally, it often exposes issues with the package and/or
its (reverse-)dependencies. We expect maintainers to fix issues that
hamper the migration of their package in a timely manner.

This bug will trigger auto-removal when appropriate. As with all new
bugs, there will be at least 30 days before the package is auto-removed.

I have immediately closed this bug with the version in unstable, so if
that version or a later version migrates, this bug will no longer affect
testing. I have also tagged this bug to only affect sid and trixie, so
it doesn't affect (old-)stable.

If you believe your package is unable to migrate to testing due to
issues beyond your control, don't hesitate to contact the Release Team.

Paul

Bug#1040496: qt6-virtualkeyboard FTBFS with parallel=1: qmlcachegen segfaults

2023-12-06 Thread Santiago Vila

# This still happens in bookworm
found 1040496 6.4.2+dfsg-1
thanks

Hi. If this was a failure in the tests, the end user could enable
"nocheck" to get working binaries, but in this case the failure happens
in dh_auto_build and there is no "escape". For that reason I think
the implemented workaround should be present in stable as well.

Thanks.

knewstuff fails to cross build from source, because it skips building
the designer plugin, but the packaging expects the designer plugin to be
built. Consider applying the attached patch.
