Bug#727241: kmail: Kmail does not show contents of folders on IMAP server
Package: kdepim-runtime Followup-For: Bug #727241 Moreinfo? You should be kidding. I filed this bug in 2013, more than one year ago. I decided not to continue using Kmail in those conditions. Just letting bug reports rot is not the best way to close them, but it seems to work. Just close it, I do not care anymore. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#596007: Possible solution
I've checked with some KDE Edu people in http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=21t=90166 and I've found a possible solution using kiosk mode. I will try to make a Debian package (or several) for this data and set up the appropiate kiosk configuration. Bug#596007: kstars datafiles are downloaded several times and installed in each user's home directory
Package: kstars-data Version: 4:4.4.5-1 Severity: normal Installing kstars data like Tycho-2 catalog copies it into user's home directory, thus wasting space if there are several users. It would be better that installation were carried directly in a system directory like the /usr/share hierarchy and then catalogs being just enabled/disabled from user interface. There is no point at all in having these files replicated in all users' home directories, and in making all users independently download them. Maybe create kstars-data-extra-something packages and having them installed in a central place can be the solution. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#593344: kde: Can not switch to new user session
Package: plasma-desktop Version: 4:4.4.5-1 Severity: important File: kde I use to hace two KDE sessions open, for me and my wife. This is accomplished by opening one of them from default KDM (VT7), then going to the menu and exit - switch user, which used to lead to a new KDM in VT8 where the other session can be started. But today we've detected that this does not work as yesterday: Going to menu - exit - switch user causes a small widow to appear at the top of the screen with a red shutdown icon (not clickable), the string Sesiones de escritorio (Desktop sessions) and a X button which closes it. No way to change user. Moreover, locking the screen and trying to switch user from the unlock password window does not offer the needed option Open a new session, just Change to session with only one option: actual VT7 locked session. This worked perfectly until last reboot yesterday (previous reboot and session opening was less than a week ago). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages plasma-desktop depends on: ii kdebase-runtime 4:4.4.5-1 runtime components from the offici ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libkdecore5 4:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform Core Library ii libkdeui5 4:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform User Interface Li ii libkephal44:4.4.5-1 API for easier handling of multihe ii libkfile4 4:4.4.5-1 the File Selection Dialog Library ii libkio5 4:4.4.5-1 the Network-enabled File Managemen ii libktexteditor4 4:4.4.5-1 the KTextEditor interfaces for the ii libkutils44:4.4.5-1 various utility classes for the KD ii libkworkspace44:4.4.5-1 library for the kdebase workspace ii libplasma34:4.4.5-1 the Plasma Library for the KDE Pla ii libplasmagenericshell44:4.4.5-1 shared elements for all the plasma ii libqt4-dbus 4:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 D-Bus module ii libqt4-script 4:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 script module ii libqt4-xml4:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 XML module ii libqtcore44:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 GUI module ii libsolid4 4:4.4.5-1 Solid Library for KDE Platform ii libsolidcontrol4 4:4.4.5-1 library for Solid based network ma ii libstdc++64.4.4-8The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtaskmanager4a 4:4.4.5-1 library which provides task manage ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.1.2-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii plasma-widgets-workspace 4:4.4.5-1 plasma widgets and containments fo Versions of packages plasma-desktop recommends: ii kdebase-workspace 4:4.4.5-1 KDE Plasma Workspace components plasma-desktop suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#523354: Can confirm bug and workaround
tags 523354 - unreproducible thanks I can confirm that this bug exists in KDE 4.4.5 (kmail 1.13.5) in squeeze. Please check also related KDE bugs: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=246808 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233277 With a default kde installation in squeeze (mine is fresh) kmail is not able to sign messages. One must open Kgpg (which is a different program) and set it to use gpg-agent and to start with each session. Once that is done, if you log-out of the session and log-in again, kmail will sign correctly if you ask it expressly to do, giving a pinentry dialog for the password. Kmail still lacks a way of setting it to sign all messages. The procedure is completely counterintuitive, and moreover (due to kde bug 246808 ) it can mess up gpg config and make it unusable until hand-fixed. Moreover: the pinentry window does not show in first plane in screen but gets focused. This is more counterintuitive. Bug#519092: kleopatra depends twice on same software
Package: kleopatra Version: 4:4.2.1-1 Severity: normal kleopatra depends on pinentry-qt | pinentry-x11 directly and on pinentry-gtk2 | pinentry-curses | pinentry through gnupg-agent, thus effectively causing TWO different, otherwise unneded versions of pinentry to be installed. Please refactor this. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kleopatra depends on: ii dirmngr 1.0.2-1server for managing certificate re ii gnupg-agent 2.0.9-3.1 GNU privacy guard - password agent ii gnupg22.0.9-3.1 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep ii gpgsm 2.0.9-3.1 GNU privacy guard - S/MIME version ii kdebase-runtime 4:4.2.1-1 runtime components from the offici ii kdelibs5 4:4.2.1-1 core libraries for all KDE 4 appli ii kdepimlibs5 4:4.2.1-1 core libraries for KDE PIM 4 appli ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.3-3 GCC support library ii libgpg-error0 1.4-2 library for common error values an ii libgpgme111.1.8-2GPGME - GnuPG Made Easy ii libkleo4 4:4.2.1-1 certificate based crypto library f ii libqt4-dbus 4.4.3-2Qt 4 D-Bus module ii libqt4-network4.4.3-2Qt 4 network module ii libqtcore44.4.3-2Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4.4.3-2Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++64.3.3-3The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii pinentry-qt [pinentry-x11]0.7.5-3Qt-based PIN or pass-phrase entry kleopatra recommends no packages. kleopatra suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#485571: konsole: Bug in documentation: it sends the user to a nonexistent file
Package: konsole Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2+b1 Severity: minor Maybe this must be in kde-i18n-en since I detected it in kde-i18n-es but I assume the problem is in the source docbook and not a i18n issue by itself. Spanish documentation reads: Vea el archivo README.linux.console en el paquete Konsole para obtener información más detallada de las diferencias entre una consola Linux® y una consola UNIX® típica. Si esto no significa nada para usted, no se preocupe por ello. but that file (README.linux.console) does not exist. I do not have the english documentation installed, but the file seems not to exist in packages.debian.org at all. Please, include the file if it is missing, or change the documentation to an appropiate one. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages konsole depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.0-5GCC support library ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-5 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.3.0-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-62:1.0.3-7X11 client-side library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-1X Rendering Extension client libra konsole recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
