 I guess this bug is somehow related (if not equal) to #506882 , but
 I'm not sure since I can't find error messages. I've also observed that
 KPDF is especially sensitive to sideward scrolling, and that the bug
 occurs to bigger PDFs of any kind (whether graphically intense or not).

 I hope I could help fixing that problem.

I can open it with kpdf under KDE 4 without any problems. Will test with Lenny 
in a few minutes.

I can't neither reproduce it with Lenny. Try creating a new user, seems to be 
a problem in your setup.
