Oh, this seems to be fixed in 16.08.2, which will probably land in sid in a 
couple of days.

Hi,

as I ran into the same problem, I first searched for the rar-mimetype in 
systemsettings.

rar is known there as application/vnd.rar
but in plugins/clirarplugin/kerfuffle_clirar.json everything refers to 
application/x-rar

After adjusting this setting and recompiling, everything worked like always.

I just don't know, if the mimetypes or ark uses an older setting for this.
