Source: gtk+3.0
Severity: normal

Dear Release Team,

Please consider binNMU of gtk+3.0 to pick up the backported device scale
support in cairo and enable better HiDPI support in gtk+3.0.
(This fixes totem on HiDPI for example.)

The new cairo version with the needed API is 1.12.16-3
which was just uploaded.

I have no idea what I'm doing here, but maybe you want something like this:
nmu gtk+3.0_3.12.2-3 . ALL . -m 'Rebuild to pick up cairo device scale support.'
dw gtk+3.0_3.12.2-3 cairo_1.12.16-3 . ALL . -m 'Rebuild to pick up cairo device
scale support.'

Thanks.

No pressure on upstream. You can just fix it in sid for now even if you don't
fix the non-free stuff yet.

I assume you build-tested those binnmus. If so, go ahead.

I did now, the results are:

calligra 2.7.5 has an unrelated FBTFS, fixed in 2.8.5 which is waiting in NEW
(I'll need to request a reject to upload the rebuild version)

and smokekde has another unrelated FTBFS, which I still haven't had time to
 check.

So, the binNMUs should be: digikam kphotoalbum subsurface korundum

So, by saying go ahead if you had build-tested the rdeps, I meant if they were
building fine...

So calligra is not a problem, but smokekde is. Can you look at it?

Pardon my ignorance but why can't those both happen at the same time?

 https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-libav.html

 Collisions:
 xmms2 → perl5.20

Now with perl in testing, are we good to proceed with me uploading
 libav11 to unstable?

I got lost with all the small partial updates. Can you give a summary of how
things are standing? i.e. what can be binnmued, what FTBFS...

AFAIUI, everything can be binnmu'ed right now.

 Also vlc needs fixing.

A fixed VLC entered unstable today fixes that.

As noted on irc, it turns out that vlc FTBFS on mips. I'm sure we'll
be able to find a solution for that during the transition, though.

A fixed glib2.0 just was just uploaded.

Emilio, can you please dep-wait vlc/mips on glib2.0_2.40.0-5 (which
is currently building)?

Thanks!

No idea how kphotoalbum got in there as it's in none of the trackers. I've
scheduled the others though.
