Hm, do you have a better wording for changelog entries
that were supposed to accompany the changes of a past
upload but had been forgotten?

I thought adding them “after the fact” to the older
version but marking them specially would be somewhat
clearer than adding them to the newer version, since
the changes themselves slipped in with the older one.

But then, I’m not an English native speaker…

I'd just have included them in the older changelog stanza as is and
noted in the current version that I'd added them; there's no particular
need to know in future versions that they were added after the fact.
ymmv.

Well, the patch from BZ#39635 in any case.

Package 1.19.3-2 seems to be fixing everything and is stable for
me. So to the release team the request to unblock this package to
allow mediawiki with postgresql to work correctly for others on
Wheezy.

For reference, the (significantly) preferred way of requesting that is
via a properly usertagged unblock bug. At the very least, having
unblock near the start of the mail subject would be helpful... done,
in any case.

OK.

As a notice in advance I'm also preparing another bugreport as the
upgrade
statements for PostgreSQL are incomplete as it look now. But I need

Hmm. I already added appropriate patches for that,
if it’s about BZ#29635 (log_log_id_seq/logging_log_id_seq
issue). Or is that something new entirely (which I didn’t
hit in my 283 or so wikis)?

The upgrade from Squeeze to Wheezy now appears to going correctly. That
is the danger from backporting some packages yourself, but this can be
ignored.

Thank you for the time.

With kind regards,
Hans

Indeed, I had already applied it, as a cow-orker spotted
the same issue last week, but not yet uploaded to Debian,
which I just did.

If you’ll want this in wheezy, please take this up with
the Release Team.

I saw I quoted the wrong patchset, it should be Gerrit change #21606
and I have the patch now running on multiple installations. But as this
affects the running of mediawiki on PostgreSQL I included the Release
Team in this e-mail to give them a notice.

As a notice in advance I'm also preparing another bugreport as the
upgrade statements for PostgreSQL are incomplete as it look now. But I
need to confirm that the patchset I may propose is correct and I expect
to finish that one coming weekend so it is correct in one go.
