There was a query from Cristian Greco and there was no answer from your side when he's asking as to what the way forward is. As a user I'm interested to get latest and non-RC packages to testing. If I'm guilty of anything, then it's probably to prod you to give your response so I could have the version in unstable. Re:Re: Uncoordinated transition from libtorrent-rasterbar6 to libtorrent-rasterbar7
Dear Cyril, A user here. Cristian asked if he can upload qbittorrent to unstable (3.0.9) version. https://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2013/10/msg00441.html Hi Cyril, should I upload qbittorrent to unstable then? - Cristian Greco Please share/tell what you think. The thing is there is no qbittorrent in sid/unstable now due to the big RC bugs removal yesterday. https://lists.debian.org/debian-testing-changes/2013/10/msg00025.html It would be nice to have qbittorrent is unstable and eventually testing. Even if Cristian is to do this after the huge boost 1.54 transition which qbittorrent is part atleast let him know which in turn also tells us what to expect. The thing is deluge is having its own share of problems while qbittorrent is out due to RC bugs, others like transmission do not give/share as much info. to the client as the above two do. Looking forward to know. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com 065C 6D79 A68C E7EA 52B3 8D70 950D 53FB 729A 8B17 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-release-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. No, those removals change absolutely nothing about the state of the package in unstable. They're removals _from testing_. After we gave you a go, you would upload the new library and we would deal with binNMUs. Now that the transition started already, please make sure your reverse dependencies are OK with that change, and report back, so that we schedule binNMUs, or so that you get reverse dependencies updated to deal with the new library if needed. Hi Cyril, I'm sorry but I've been busy lately (libtorrent-rasterbar has been NMUed two times in the meanwhile). AFAICS, the current status of reverse-deps in unstable is: 1) flush: builds fine, 2) qbittorrent: FTBFS, needs upload to unstable of the version in experimental (3.0.9) or higher, 3) fatrat: FTBFS, but the root cause seems deeper than what I expected (maybe it needs to be patched for qt compatibility, or dropped at all).
