Bug#486946: FCP problem on Debian s390 hardware

2010-01-24 Thread Frans Pop
reassign 486946 sysconfig-hardware
tag 486946 moreinfo
thanks

At install time Debian was not showing any FCP which is attached to
Guest image thought let me try to enable same after install of OS.
[...]
Once again I need repeat 1-6 steps for FCP to get enable

Enabling devices during system boot is the job of the 'hwup' script of the
package sysconfig-hardware. And AFAICT FCP devices are supported.

It uses info in /etc/sysconfig/hardware to determine which devices to
enable. So all that should be needed is to add a correct config file
there.

Cheers,
FJP
