Could you check with med-fichier upstream if they support hdf5 1.14 or if it is
planned
in a near future?

Dear Maintainer,

It would be great if med was upgraded to enable use a Salome 9.11 generated
mesh files.

Where is it downloadable from?

From https://www.salome-platform.org/?page_id=2430.

I take a quick look at the sources. It requires a more recent hdf5 version
(1.12 if I rember correctly).

This would be unfortunate. I didn't plan to ship HDF5 1.12 because this
release is (or will soon be) retired by the HDF Group:

https://portal.hdfgroup.org/display/support/Downloads

I thought that Salome 9.11 was build on top of med 5 but this is not the case.
The upgrade is not urgent.. Maybe we shall contact Salome upstream to now when
they plan to upgrade to med 5
before moving on this issue.

Best
C

Thx,

I take a quick look at the sources. It requires a more recent hdf5 version
(1.12 if I rember correctly).
