Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from
'squeeze' to 'wheezy' to 'jessie'.
It installed fine in 'squeeze', and upgraded to 'wheezy' and 'jessie'
successfully, but then the upgrade to 'stretch' failed because it tries
to overwrite other packages files without declaring a
Breaks+Replaces relation.

That patch is probably fine.

But I've prepared a build of petsc 3.6, which makes the 3.4 update
redundant.  I'm not sure that there's anything to gain by creating
 libpetsc3.4.2v5 at this point. petsc 3.4 is deprecated, so any other
package that would need to rebuild against libpetsc3.4.2v5 might as
well build against the forthcoming libpetsc3.6 instead.
