apertium-en-es REMOVED from testing

2017-10-26 Thread Debian testing watch
FYI: The status of the apertium-en-es source package
in Debian's testing distribution has changed.

  Previous version: 0.8.0~r57502-2
  Current version: (not in testing)
  Hint:
Bug #876870: apertium-en-es FTBFS with apertium 3.4.2~r68466-2: test failure

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals.

Bug#879889: newmat FTCBFS: fails running tests despite DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nocheck

2017-10-26 Thread Helmut Grohne
Source: newmat
Version: 1.10.4-6
Tags: patch
User: helm...@debian.org
Usertags: rebootstrap

newmat fails to cross build from source, because it fails running tests
even though DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS contained nocheck. The tests naturally
fail with an "Exec format error". After skipping tests, newmat cross
builds successfully. Please consider applying the attached patch.

What matters is unstable (for outdated binaries), and clearly pandas is not
compiled on armhf there:

$ rmadison -s unstable python-pandas-lib
python-pandas-lib | 0.20.3-10 | unstable | amd64, arm64, armel,
hurd-i386, i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mips64el, mipsel,
powerpc, ppc64el, s390x

And the good news is that the new version of pandas has already migrated to
testing (it was urgented as part of the python 3.6 transition):

$ rmadison -s testing python-pandas-lib
python-pandas-lib | 0.20.3-10 | testing| amd64, arm64, armel, i386,
mips, mips64el, mipsel, ppc64el, s390x

Best,

I can confirm that

https://packages.debian.org/buster/python-pandas-lib

does not list armhf but

https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=pandas=buster

lists armhf as "installed". So what is true?

If we do not need armhf, than we are through all released archictectures
now:

https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=pandas=sid

I just realise that #877419 is set to important anyway, so there is no
need to reduce its severity and the package could migrate (migration
status says only "to young")

I would love if somebody would take over to inform upstream about the
failed tests. They have released first RC candidates for next version
and may be it makes sense to get this in. I'm very busy (mostly real
life from now on the whole next week.

Kind regards

   Andreas.

Hello,

Currently, we have 6 versions of the llvm toolchain in the archive.
I would like to move to 3 versions (4.0, 5.0 and snapshot, aka 6.0)

Could you please update your package to use 4.0 (or, better, 5.0 which will be
released very
soon)?

I will update the severity of this bug at the end of September

Thanks
Sylvestre
