Bug#893408: gazebo: Please use clang-format insteal of clang-format-4.0

2018-03-18 Thread Sylvestre Ledru
Source: gazebo
Severity: normal

Hello,

In order to limit the number of versions in llvm, it would be great
if you could move use clang-format instead of clang-format-4.0.

Thanks,

Bug#892254: scilab: Cannot find jlatexmath libs

2018-03-07 Thread Sylvestre Ledru
Package: scilab
Version: 6.0.1-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I had an old version of jlatexmath on my system (1.0.3).

On scilab startup, the issue was:
Attention : Impossible de trouver le package Java
'/usr/share/java/jlatexmath-fop-1.0.6.jar'.
Attention : Impossible de trouver le package Java
'/usr/share/java/jlatexmath-1.0.6.jar'.
Des problèmes sont survenus pendant le chargement des bibliothèques Java.
Pouvant induire des erreurs de Scilab.
Veuillez vérifier le fichier SCI/etc/classpath.xml.

using latex in a graph makes Scilab crashes.

We need to force the same version of jlatexmath as built to make sure it works.

This is probably the reason. jogl (the opengl lib that Scilab uses) needs good

Could you please update your package to use 4.0 (or, better, 5.0 which will be

I don't think it is making Scilab unusable.
Scilab contains thousand of functions. Here, it is crashing on your system with
some functions
and data.
I cannot reproduce the bug. Could you check if the bug still occurs if you
change the blas implementation used?

By the way, please don't dump a script in the content of the email, the syntax

Salut!

Not asking for me but for a lazy friend.
It would be nice to have an openblas dbg package.

Thanks,

Bug#772410: scilab : uploading the proposed patch fixing bashism ?

Sorry, I just forgot that. I uploaded it.
However I do not know what to do about #749833.

About #749833, I don't know either. Maybe Vincent, as CC, knows more.
Anyway, we could just ignore it. It has been in Scilab from the first
version it has been shipped in Debian...

I don't think this is correct. Both packages are broken and should be

Otherwise, they should be removed from jessie. Shipping broken packages

I tested them so far as I could. And they are worked. Yes, I agree to
 remove them if necessary.

Then, I am not sure to understand why the first thing that you do is to
decrease the severity and not help him (or fix the bug itself).
If the user is correct, these two packages should be removed from Debian

therefor, grave is the correct severity).

Yes, I have to remove this algorithm from the package. It is not really

We would still be shipping non free code. Not sure it is the best solution.

Yes, I have to remove this algorithm from the package. It is not really

The versions of scilab in squeeze and wheezy already included those
files, with the same license. I wonder if this shouldn't simply be
jessie-ignored, given that both codes are fairly old mathematical codes.
I think if Sylvestre is right with his statement Old ACM algorithms
were in a kind of public domain but they updated their license policies
[1] than we can jessie-ignore this. @Sylvestre: do you have any data
that would substantiate this? Should we just file a bug against
release.debian.org (the RT) and ask to jessie-ignore this bug? If the
rpoly implementation is good than only the second file would need
 jessie-ignore.

Sorry, I did that a while ago and I don't really remember where I find
it. :(
I don't think it is a bit issue here.

 Hello,

Your package fails to build from source on Debian autobuilder network.

Please check your package build logs at:
   https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=scilabsuite=sid

   Full log at:

 https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=scilabarch=arm64ver=5.5.1-3stamp=1415427340

This is caused by the fact that libjogl2-java has been be built on these
archs:
https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=libjogl2-java

I should have added a stronger dependency on it in Scilab.

I would like to hear also other's people opinions about this issue.
Then I will agree to raise up the severity if the problem really serious.

Well, the policy is pretty clear on the topic.
And for users (and maintenance), it would be way better to have a
package per binding.

Source: code-saturne
Severity: minor

Hello

I am reporting this as a gift bug for potential contributors.

Lintian complains about:
E: code-saturne source: source-is-missing docs/doxygen/src/jquery.js
E: code-saturne source: source-is-missing docs/doxygen/src/search/all_75.js
E: code-saturne source: source-is-missing
docs/doxygen/src/search/functions_62.js
E: code-saturne source: source-is-missing
docs/doxygen/src/search/functions_6d.js
E: code-saturne source: source-is-missing
docs/doxygen/src/search/functions_75.js
E: code-saturne source: source-is-missing

It should be quite easy to fix.

Bug#744073: scilab shared libraries are heavily underlinked

please forward this upstream. maybe as separate bug reports for each library
 with unresolvable references.

Thanks for sharing. However, I do not agree on the severity.
That does not prevent the package to build under Debian. I don't know
what is different in Ubuntu
and explains the FTBFS there.
