As long as ratpoints is included in Debian, ratpoints users should be able to use the Debian package even if they do not use SAGE. At least the binary has a --help options. Did you already ask Michael Stoll if he had the TeX source ? Yes, but maybe I should ask another time. Well, I just did (I know him well). Michael uploaded the documentation to http://arxiv.org/abs/0803.3165 the TeX source is available at http://arxiv.org/format/0803.3165v4 Cheers, -- Bill. ballo...@debian.org Imagine a large red swirl here. -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers

Hi Bill, my reasoning was that the executable is rather useless without the documentation, which is non-free (pdf without the tex source). Of course I could provide the executable and point to the website for documentation. Would you find that more useful? Source: ratpoints Version: 2.1.3+dfsg-2 Severity: important Hello Debian Science Team, The program ratpoints is not included in any of the binaries packages for ratpoints. Please provide it. The packages are rather useless without it.
