Bug#826701: Same error with 5.0.6+dfsg1-1

2017-07-24 Thread Kingsley G. Morse Jr.
Hi Anton,

Thanks for replying so quickly.

I seem to have worked around the problem by doing

$ dpkg -i --force-overwrite
/var/cache/apt/archives/gnuplot-data_5.0.6+dfsg1-1_all.deb
$ apt-get -f install

So,
Kingsley

Bug#826701: Same error with 5.0.6+dfsg1-1

2017-07-24 Thread Anton Gladky
Hi,

the upgrade 4.6.6-3 -> 5.0.6+dfsg1-1 is not supported. The only
supported upgrade between stable versions: 4.6.6-3 -> 5.0.5+dfsg1-6+deb9u1.

All other combination are not guaranteed.

Best regards

Anton

Bug#826701: Same error with 5.0.6+dfsg1-1

2017-07-24 Thread Kingsley G. Morse Jr.
Hey guys,

Thank you very much for maintaining gnuplot.

I love how many options it has.

I happened to notice this report's bug seems to
also be in a newer version.

It was originally reported against 5.0.3+dfsg3-1.

I see it with 5.0.6+dfsg1-1.

Here's some output that aptitude sent to my console:

[...]

Preparing to unpack .../gnuplot-data_5.0.6+dfsg1-1_all.deb ...

So,
Kingsley
