 basi
  en aquesta aproximació i per últim em pregunto en veu alta si hi ha algun
  araó especial per no fer evolucionar la instal·lació de Lenny a Squeeze,
  potser amb el canvi de nucli el problema és resoldria sol, ara mateix
 tots
  els equips que tinc amb Testing no necessiten cap fitxer xorg.conf per
  funcionar correctament.
 
  En fi, sort i si trobes la solució ja ens en faràs cinc cèntims.

Això funciona en els dos sentits: potser amb el **proper** canvi de nucli es 
tornaria a trencar. Si tires de 'testing', acceptes que de tant en tant et 
quedaràs aturat.

Lenny/KDE 3.10. Després de cercar i provar tot tipus de receptes que

Al reiniciar les X la tauleta funciona, però el ratolí no acaba d'anar
bé: la rodeta no funciona, i el botó secundari tampoc. Alguna idea?

Hola! Problemes amb Wacom

Hola! Em dic Francesc X. Escarmís, i sóc un nouvingut en aquestes terres
de Debian. Estic fent el projecte de final de carrera de la Enginyeria
Tècnica de Sistemes, sobre si el programari lliure pot oferir una
alterniva real a programes de disseny gràfic com Photoshop o Freehand.

Bé, el cas és que tinc instal.lada una distribució Debian-Woody amb el
kernel per defecte 2.2.20. També hi tinc instal.lades i configurades les
X-windows 4.1, amb el gdm. Tinc un problema que no sé com solventar, i
per això us faig aquesta consulta.

Per a instal.lar el driver de la tableta gràfica Wacom Graphire 2 USB,
necessito tant els fonts del kernel com els fonts de les X. El kernel
amb que vull fer funcionar la tableta no és el 2.2.20, sino el 2.4.18,
que comença a tenir suport a aquest dispositiu. Ja hi tinc les fonts, i
puc crear imatges. També m'he baixat els fonts de les XFree86 4.1, que
me'ls demana també, però no els puc compilar. Em dona un error de
compilador a l'arxiu arc.cc, a la funció Arc::getextrema (Arc **). Com
que no puc acabar de compilar, no puc continuar les instruccions
d'instal.lació de la tableta (trobades a linuxwacom.sourceforge.net).
Estic encallat, i porto dies i dies barallant-me, però avanço molt poc o
gens.

Agraïria que, si algú ha configurat la tableta per Debian, m'informés de
com ho ha fet.

Si fas un treball d'aquesta mena tingues en compte si us plau que la
versió estable de Debian conté programari que té aproximadament 2 anys.
Per saber exactament l'estat actual dels programes probablement
necessitis la inestable (el terme inestable fa referència a
l'empaquetament i no a la versió del programa, que sol ser estable per
qui la programa).

 Per a instal.lar el driver de la tableta gràfica Wacom Graphire 2 USB,
 necessito tant els fonts del kernel com els fonts de les X. El kernel

Jo no et puc ajudar en instal·lar la tauleta Wacom, perquè no la tinc.
Però potser sí a fer les altres coses:

* Per instal·lar el kernel 2.4.18 pots fer:
apt-get install kernel-image-2.4.18-686

* Per obtenir-ne les fonts pots fer:
apt-get install kernel-source-2.4.18

* Per compil·lar un kernel a la debian fes:
apt-get install kernel-package

I mira la documentació de /usr/share/doc/kernel-package i també fes:
man make-kpkg

* Jo et recomanaria el 2.4.20 com a mínim, ja que hi havia un bug amb
els permisos del sistema de fitxers /proc/bus/usb que potser
t'afectarà... Pots baixar-te el codi font de kernel.org i utilitzar
kernel-package per compilar-lo, o bé pots afegir:

deb http://www.fs.tum.de/~bunk/debian woody/bunk-1 main contrib non-free

a /etc/apt/sources.list i llavors fer:

apt-get update
apt-get install kernel-image-2.4.21-5-686

No et sé assegurar si aquests kernels ja venen amb el mòdul wacom.
Suposo que instal·lant-los i fent:

modprobe wacom

hauria d'anar


* Compil·lar el driver de wacom per a Xfree 4.1: només has de seguir les
instruccions que trobaràs aquí:
http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/index.php/howto/debwcmdrv

Tingues en compte que per fer el apt-get source aquest que diu has
d'afegir una linia deb-src al teu /etc/apt/sources.list. Per exemple,
afegeix:

deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable main

No oblidis fer un apt-get update cada vegada que modifiquis aquest
fitxer...
