I didn't state that it manipulates *you* but asking for the
purpose. Manipulation (if there are people who let themselve
manipulate by this) was the only purpose I could think of.
So...

Ideally, the constitution should be changed to void all votes issued in
public, and make the sender of such votes lose his vote right for that
 vote.

Errm no, since this can also happen by accident...

Here follows his full mail before any misconceptions about Sven's point
arise cause I didn't quote the complete mail and just hit reply too fast:

But then the question is, how serious is the effect of such
manipulations, as most such errors are probably mostly due to plain
errors on the voters part. Also, going over much in the direction of
sanctionning such errors may itself cause possible exploits, by
malicious setting of the reply-to in the ballot for example.

Please forward to the list, as i am being censored and cannot post
myself without a DD having judged the post as non-controversial or
whatever.

Nico, do you realize that by quoting Martin's ballot four times so far you
might have manipulated undecided voters more than Martin with his first mail?

And BTW: I don't think that DDs are so simple-minded and easily influenced by
public ballots.

I don't think that manipulationg is the right word for that; isn't
that word in common used by to describe covered influence?

So it is either a public statement (faster than bloging) or an
accident.

Frank, do you realize that such a statement is useless?

And BTW: I don't think that DDs are so simple-minded and easily influenced by
 public ballots.

True and I never said anything conflictive with that just
because I came up with the only reason I could think of
(even if I think this won't work and that this was not the
purpose).

Yes you are right. Let's forget about that part since I
didn't want to start a discussion about this and I doubt
this is actually a problem within Debian.

So it is either a public statement (faster than bloging) or an
 accident.
[...]
PS: May I ask you about the intention of your question?

Yes, if I read such public statements in a Debian vote I always ask
myself WTF is interested in this?.

Kind regards
