Will buildd retry the upload automatically?

The partial upload is back. Something seems to be broken with this
builder, so I am escalating this to powe...@buildd.debian.org:
Uploading haskell-tagstream-conduit, haskell-wai-app-static and

Usually the buildd will start spamming the buildd admin if it's stuck in
a retry loop with partial uploads in the queue. The York powerpc buildds
are particularly prone to get into that state. But I guess this time
they were all on praetorius?

Kind regards

in this case, I found that there was a partial upload in
ftp://ftp.upload.debian.org/pub/UploadQueue/
I issued the dcut rm commands to remove the files.

I also found two more affected packages (haskell-wai-app-static and
haskell-yesod-form).

Will buildd retry the upload automatically?

And would it be possible to switch to an upload mechanism that can
recover automatically from that? I believe scp uploads do.

Greetings,
Joachim

well, it’s a day now, in this particular instance.

What are perfectly normal circumstances for long delays? I thought the
signing and uploading is all automated by now?

Joachim

Packages stuck in Built

2015-07-20 Thread Joachim Breitner
Hi,

haskell-tagstream-conduit on powerpc is in Built since several hours,
and a give-back did not help. Can someone have a look?

Since this happens regularly: Is there some systematic monitoring and
notification of such clear error conditions (i.e. packages in Built or
Uploaded state for longer than, say, an hour or two)?

Greetings,
Joachim
