Bug#250192: ITP: libv4l2++ -- C++ V4L2 API wrapper

2004-05-21 Thread martin f krafft
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: libv4l2++
  Version : 0.1.0
  Upstream Author : martin f. krafft [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://cvs.ailab.ch/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/libv4l2%2B%2B/
* License : Artistic
  Description : C++ V4L2 API wrapper

libv4l2++ is an open wrapper hierarchy to the V4L2 API, written in
C++. It abstracts the complexity of the API into classes of
different complexity levels. You can either instantiate devices over
which you have full control, or you can create simple devices,
which hide much of the details but allow you to do the important
part.

It's in alpha stage, there is no documentation, and it's not
well-tested yet. But it's under continuing development. So far, only
capturing has been implemented. I am searching for parties
interested in coding VBI, output, and overlay.

Packages will be here in a while:

This all sounds very hopeful... However, you've still not uploaded a new
package and I'm still recieving bugs that I don't have time to deal with

Bug#223781: usemod-wiki adoption

2004-05-21 Thread Charles Fry
It has now been 160 days since usemod-wiki was offered for adoption. If
it is going to be adopted, then I would love to see the latest release
packaged. If the current adoption is not going to work out, I would love
to help maintain usemod-wiki.

Description: Simple, but powerful WWW mail reader system
 Mailreader is a light and simple web based mail user agent written in PERL.
 It has a very simple configuration and works quite well. Mailreader currently
 supports only POP3 servers. Now it support Japanese locale (libjcode-pm-perl
 needed - otherwise please ignore this suggestion).
 .
 Although mailreader's dependencies do not include a POP3 server, it does
 require an available POP3 server on the network for normal operation.
 .
 For secure connections (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!) you need httpd with ssl
 support. (You can try apache-ssl).

Justification: Mail bounces, contacted at other address but no response; no
upload since March 2002

Bug#250280: ITP: qdu -- Graphical disk usage utility displaying scalable histograms

2004-05-21 Thread Vineet Kumar
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: qdu
  Version : 2.2
  Upstream Author : Gilles Debunne [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://artis.imag.fr/Members/Gilles.Debunne/Code/QDU/
* License : GPL
  Description : Graphical disk usage utility displaying scalable histograms

 qdu uses scalable histograms to visually display disk usage, allowing the
 user to see quickly and easily which directories and files are using up
 space. The project was formerly known as xdu, but was changed to qdu to
 avoid confusion with the existing xdu.

 Features include:
   * Simple graphical interface
   * Minimum size threshold and histogram scale sliders
   * Filtering of display by file type (code, images, music, etc.)
   * Sorting of listings by name or size
   * Deletion/moving/renaming files and directories

I have sent mail to the upstream author, but have not yet received any
response.I have a first version of the package ready.

 This all sounds very hopeful... However, you've still not uploaded a new
 package and I'm still recieving bugs that I don't have time to deal with
 at the moment. A little alacrity would be appreciated.

Where did I say I would upload anything?

Nicolas

Hello,

That was me who propose you to take care of the package... I am not a DD
and cannot say i can upload the package ( i need a sponsor ).

I will inject it in svn of ocaml-maint and correct the bugs i can next
monday. The new uploaders will be Debian Ocaml Task Force ( it is the
collaborative maintainance of debian ocaml task force ), if nobody argue
against this.

I will need your help to have a clearview on the package... ( if you
have a little time to pass me the package ).

Kind regard
Sylvain Le Gall

ps : if you want it to be uploaded fast, let's sponsor me for the first
upload.

Bug#249560: There's an ITP on python-kde

2004-05-21 Thread Ricardo Javier Cardenes Medina

That's bug #147965. Yes, I know it's 728 days old, but that packages had
to wait because of the changing nature of PyKDE itself, and PyQt. Now
that they're quite stable, I'm waiting for Jim to upload the definitive
version 3.11 to upload the packages (that you can download right now
from http://people.debian.org/~rcardenes)

Bug#250308: ITP: mozilla-minimo -- Mini Mozilla - web browser for old computers or smaller devices (PDAs)

* License : MPL - Mozilla Public License
  Description : mozilla web browser for less-powerful systems

Taken from the webpage:

The Minimo (Mini Mozilla) project is focused on code-size and runtime
footprint reduction, and porting to small consumer devices. We hope to
make Minimo the browser of choice on small devices, or machines with
limited system resources; taking advantage of Mozilla's support for a
broad and comprehensive set of standards and the variety of content on
the web, proven security, international support, and cross platform
capability.
