Bug#339599: ITP: rt2570

2006-04-25 Thread Kel Modderman

Robert Chéramy wrote:

Hi,

it would be great to have the rt2570 module supported under debian. I
used your package without big problems. The only thing I noticed is
the kernel complaining in dmesg:
rausb0 (WE) : Driver using old /proc/net/wireless support, please fix
driver !

Perhaps Aurelien Jarno could help you regarding this package, as he
already maintains rt2400 and rt2500. Aurelien, please say yes! ;-)

Looks like Aurelien either said yes silently or already had a package
of his own. Either way rt2570 is in the NEW queue.

Description : utility to control frequency rates of your Radeon card

It is very helpful for underclocking the Radeon chip in order to save
power when running on batteries. Also, by underclocking it is possible
to prevent the fan from running.
It can also be used to gain performance by overclocking.

Upstream author doesn't mind against including rovclock into Debian and
agreed to support in future.

Bug#364731: O: f-prot-installer -- F-Prot(tm) Antivirus installer package

2006-04-25 Thread Johannes Rohr
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the f-prot-installer package, as I definitely don't
have the time to maintain it. The package has been up for adoption for
many months now. While a number of people have expressed interest in
maintaining this package, nobody has actually done so.

The package description is:
F-Prot(tm) for Workstations is a powerful command-line virus
scanner. It can be run stand-alone or utilized by other packages
 such as mailscanner or amavis.
 .
Since the license does not explicitely permit redistribution, this
package doesn't contain the actual software, but downloads it from
the vendor's FTP site and installs it for you.
 .
The installer has been tested with F-Prot(tm) 4.0.0 and does not work for
 older versions.
 .
This package also comes with a maintenance script to keep your
F-Prot(tm) installation up-to-date. Furthermore a cron script for
automatic virus definition updates is included.
 .
If you install F-Prot for Workstations(tm), please take into
account the rather restrictive license terms.
 .
More info about F-Prot(tm) can be found at http://www.f-prot.com

This module provides some drop-in replacements for the string
comparison functions of Test::More, but which are more suitable
when you test against long strings. If you've ever had to search
for text in a multi-line string like an HTML document, or find
specific items in binary data, this is the module for you.

Bug#266305: About removing gtktalog

2006-04-25 Thread P.
Hello.

I wanted to adopt gtktalog because I though it was the best choice for
media cataloging software, and since there didn't seemed other programs
like it on the archive.

After taking a second look to the choices, I found Gwhere[1], that has
almost the same basic features, but can be used with gtk2, so I'm now
willing to package it, as I stand on [2].
