Bug#612277: RFA: olsrd: optimized link-state routing daemon (unik-olsrd)
package: wnpp x-debbugs-cc: olsr-...@lists.olsr.org Hi, now that Squeeze has been released, lets get olsrd back into Debian! (First into sid aka unstable, then let it migrate to wheezy (which happens after ten days in sid without serious bugs) and once it's there, we can prepare an upload to squeeze-backports.) I'm happy to help with that. Actually, I _prefer_ to _help_ with that and someone else takes over maintainance. (I'm a DD and can sponsor uploads.) Anybody can maintain a package in Debian - you don't need to be a DD nor a DM. Some experience with maintaining software is needed though ;) Contact me if you are interested in helping out. (RFA is Debian lingo for request for adoption.) So much for the rather non technical side of this. Now for the technical points: I've cloned the git master branch and I see the deb.patch in there. And then I forgot how this should work... Henning, can you please enlighten me? :) Thanks already :) (Context for those not aware: in the past the Debian package was build using the released olsrd tarball and a debian-directory in svn on svn.debian.org. At the end of 2000 Henning then made some changes so that its possible now to build Debian packages directly from the git repo. This probably needs to be polished a bit but should be the future way to maintain it.) AIUI :-) cheers, Holger signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

But some packages are waiting solution for 11 months. And it is a bit worrying. Their list is big, you can help them if you feel it's slow! How can I help them? Bug#543936: Take over of a package
Hey, I noticed that you were interested in taking over maintainance for gnupg-pkcs11-scd. Basically what you need is to prepare an updated package and then submit it to mentors (see http://mentors.debian.net) It'd be nice to have this package maintained, I've tried to play with it to be able to use an old etoken with my gnupg keys but it doesn't really work fine (not really investigated why, it's related to assuan protocol). Anyway, once you have a package ready for testing, ping here and on mentors list to have it uploaded. If you have more general questions about maintainership you can read the Debian new maintainer's guide (http://www.debian.org/doc/maint-guide/) and ask questions on the mentors list. The package description is: Conversation simulators are computer programs which give the appearance of conversing with a user in natural language. Such programs are effective because they exploit the fact that human beings tend to read much more meaning into what is said than is actually there; we are fooled into reading structure into chaos, and we interpret non-sequitur as valid conversation. . MegaHAL differs from conversation simulators such as Eliza in that it uses a Markov Model to learn how to hold a conversation. It is possible to teach MegaHAL to talk about new topics, and in different languages. . Input is specified by BNF rules. LPG supports backtracking (to resolve ambiguity), automatic AST generation and grammar inheritance. Rationale for packaging this: eclipse-cdt appears to have modules depending on this, which are currently disabled. If it turns out that I also need the lpg-generator (written in C/C++), I will probably put both parts into the same source package. Bug#444392: Miniupnpc package in our repo
On 02/07/2011 08:54 PM, Boris Pek wrote: I will upload to SID once it's approved by the ftp-masters in experimental! This is good. Ask the ftp-masters that have the job of approving new packages... Yes, I see this. But some packages are waiting solution for 11 months. And it is a bit worrying. Packages waiting for that much time are problematic, I don't think this will be the case for miniupnpc. Their list is big, you can help them if you feel it's slow! How can I help them? Or how can I affect the speed of reviewing package? Get in touch, and ask, I don't really know. The main work of the ftp-masters is reviewing copyright files, so I guess you could send them reports about packages. Anyway, I think you should just be patient...
