After discussing with Debian FTP masters, they notified that the package is on hold. They require the image sources to be packaged within the emelfm2, although it is already packaged separately in: http://packages.debian.org/sid/emelfm2-svg-icons This would effectively make emelfm2 a multi-tarball source which the developer has to build by hand every time new release appears. I don't know if FTP masters requirement even implies building the PNGs and SVGs out of that image source ball; it is not supported in the current state of emelfm2. Bug#609352: ITP: zdoom -- Enhanced Doom engine

Sorry, but I don't hink this will work! It was discussed on games-devel and people did not rule it out completely. But as the fmod authors doesn't even allow a non-commercial binary distribution of their software I had to drop the idea anyway. > > The zdoom-engine is capable of running some doom style games that > > the prboom-engine can not (like heretic, hexen and strife). > > AFAICT, Fedora uses the vavoom engine to play the doom-like non-doom > games you mentioned. Thanks for that information. As it turns out vavoom is already on mentors.d.n! Unfortunately it cannot run some games that are specially designed for zdoom (I could not get this very cool total conversion to run with vavoom: http://www.afadoomer.com/wolf3d). I've now packaged a installer-script that takes care of downloading and building a zdoom package (http://mentors.debian.net/package/zdoom-installer). Any comments on that? Thanks for your help! Bug#555892: marked as done (ptouch-driver -- CUPS/Foomatic driver for Brother P-touch label printers)

Please contact ow...@bugs.debian.org immediately.) -- 555892: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=555892 Debian Bug Tracking System Contact ow...@bugs.debian.org with problems --- Begin Message --- Package: wnpp Severity: normal http://www.diku.dk/hjemmesider/ansatte/panic/P-touch/ has the program ptouch-driver, which is a driver for CUPS and Foomatic for Brother P-touch label printers. I made a quick-and-dirty package for myself, diff.gz attached. Note that I am _not_ willing to maintain this myself, unfortunately. I will soon be far away from my label printer. The diff contains a fix that works for at least the QL-550 model, which seems to have 275 dpi pixel density along one axis, and 300 on the other. The upstream code assumes 300 for both. The incorrect density makes the label cutter cut at the wrong place (in the middle of a label, rather than between them). I've informed the upstream author of this. Other than that, the package is extremely straightforward to make, using dh (or cups, I assume). When I installed my package, and added the printer via the GNOME printer admin tool, it generated a PPD file in /etc/cups/ppd/Brother-QL-550.ppd, which works otherwise fine, but the ImageableArea settings are wrong, and make it impossible to print near the edges of the labels. I fixed this by editing the file manually, since I could not figure out how that file gets generated and fix the source of the wrong settings. I'm attaching the manually edited file as well. Someone who understands the whole CUPS system should figure out the proper fix. ptouch-driver_1.3-1.diff.gz Description: GNU Zip compressed data *PPD-Adobe: "4.3" *% *% For information on using this, and to obtain the required backend *% script, consult http://www.openprinting.org/ *% *% This file is published under the GNU General Public License *% *% PPD-O-MATIC (4.0.0 or newer) generated this PPD file. Bug#639498: ITP: tickr -- GTK-based highly graphically-customizable RSS Feed Ticker
There is a package named 'ticker' which provide a text scroller inside a terminal, without rss parsing ability or graphical options. My package 'tickr' is more similar to 'knewsticker' which, if I'm right, is no more available with KDE4, or 'gnews' which(again, if I'm right)is not maintained anymore. So there is now a lack of this kind of application. -- Emmanuel Thomas-Maurin -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Build definitions are specified using a Scala domain specific language (DSL), in a mix of declarative and imperative styles. sbt manages dependencies, leveraging existing Maven or Ivy package repositories. sbt can run in continuous compilation mode, and for testing and deployment, helping programmers adhere to a test-driven development methodology. Changes to source files are monitored and dependencies are extracted from the compiler so that only a minimum set of dependent sources will be recompiled, reducing rebuild times. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJOXkpaAAoJEAf8SJEEK6ZaTBMP/RvOZeZtoJIywzCQOnl+ct1w 7XK4lHqc/Eq+8Otj//Td9IeCobbHogQJMG+FKt3XrsA3Uid+R3mRfn30omlDaiGD T7nPN/iZa4rgDXwvx6lzoINrBGMfyt5FuKTlCVUuym+B95soW0litxqS6rx/3oKA wMkgTnx7OenHzNJByhkOo0doFd2zYoPTs1m5jwKtbtlVIjKSLk5wRPK59xjyxG7b Wq7zTzIetnelC6KmGEY2jD0ohpJ6W61+EXQHs/5eHKcbe8sAuOxmy4njwsoMkBOt 0WExTg+D6kwHqc4eNFOrALv+pfUcBHuHDYI70AkIUR73y+xItISvnWFJuX+wSFNF pPu/DVmT71c0xNrqpeDtfwi7AhxO9gt+aqS+mJRPzCtn+fnA0zwpEyTtZmholk8U bd1mt5SFuU0NfrkoYuV8yc5o7QV/S/GnYS3gu5oIcpksjlrBC9hCZ5qLIcqsqjNH TFAKezRrPbpmeuZ96SbvMoHSmfgtIZR8GVTgG8f7k8+2XzcfCr8TMdS03pO/StXw zuqAcbUCDPk1nQipwYLUUJ2RHkaD91WxXmdgIWhzSWlMO7vh3JwfW9KASSD6rdFL oZXyPS3czhEr8KhQEeiB6EW4L2h+dq238/WW31E2/cpwP8XF+nf4hz20AK8J3Qh1 LltSqKZnZW1zhgxD5SWK =ENQt -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I've just built it for Squeeze, and everywhing went OK so far. By the way, Jari, are there any news about this package? Both links from regarding the status of this package in NEW mentioned earlier in this thread do not mention emelfm2, and neither does http://package.debian.org search engine knows about it, so I'm confused. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I agree. I had already written that I would be willing if nobody else wants to. The problem is my lack of time as I, too, have lots of other projects (not only computing stuff) going. Also though I've been using and packaging for Debian for long I'm not too familiar with the particularities of being maintainer for a package. If there's a group of people working together on this I think this could work. Bug#639868: ITP: chado -- Chado is a relational database schema that underlies many GMOD installations.
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Olivier Sallou * Package name: chado Version : 1.11 Upstream Author : GMOD * URL : http://gmod.org/wiki/Chado_-_Getting_Started * License : Artistic License 2.0 Programming Lang: Perl,SQL Description : Chado is a relational database schema that underlies many GMOD installations. It is capable of representing many of the general classes of data frequently encountered in modern biology such as sequence, sequence comparisons, phenotypes, genotypes, ontologies, publications, and phylogeny. It has been designed to handle complex representations of biological knowledge and should be considered one of the most sophisticated relational schemas currently available in molecular biology. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
