Music21 is a set of tools for helping scholars and other active
listeners answer questions about music quickly and simply. If you’ve
ever asked yourself a question like, “I wonder how often Bach does that”
or “I wish I knew which band was the first to use these chords in this
order,” or “I’ll bet we’d know more about Renaissance counterpoint (or
Indian ragas or post-tonal pitch structures or the form of minuets) if I
could write a program to automatically write more of them,” then music21
can help you with your work.

Bug#459219: Android tools

2012-07-27 Thread Adnan Hodzic
I was too busy for last few days so I didn't even get to reply. Either
way, just now I publicly published what I have when it comes to
android-sdk-installer script. And yes, I'd rather have all those
tools as one package as I originally intended if you don't mind.

android-sdk-installer for Linux (Debian/Ubuntu): http://foolcontrol.org/?p=1545

Later on I'll publish this same post on OMG! Ubuntu so hopefully
this whole thing gets some momentum.

Binwalk is a tool for searching a given binary image for embedded files
and executable code. Specifically, it is designed for identifying files
and code embedded inside of firmware images. Binwalk uses the libmagic
library, so it is compatible with magic signatures created for the Unix
 file utility.
 .
Binwalk also includes a custom magic signature file which contains
improved signatures for files that are commonly found in firmware images
such as compressed/archived files, firmware headers, Linux kernels,
 bootloaders, filesystems, etc.

Description : Fast, advanced fractal generator

FractalNow provides users with tools to generate pictures of various
types of fractals quickly and easily.
It is made of both a command line (FractalNow) and a graphical tool
(QFractalNow).
The graphical tool, based on Qt library, allows users to explore
fractals intuitively and generate pictures.
Both tools are entirely multi-threaded and implement advanced algorithms
and heuristics that make computation very fast compared to most existing
free fractal generators.

Bug#459219: Android tools

W dniu 27.07.2012 19:56, Adnan Hodzic pisze:
I was too busy for last few days so I didn't even get to reply.
Either way, just now I publicly published what I have when it comes
to android-sdk-installer script. And yes, I'd rather have all those
tools as one package as I originally intended if you don't mind.

I am fine with it. But do you cover !i386 !amd64 architectures? There
are people who are using armel/armhf/mipsel laptops/netbooks and Android
devices at same time.

Bug#647995: cellprofiler

2012-07-27 Thread Mathieu Malaterre
retitle 647995 RFP: cellprofiler -- quantitatively measure phenotypes
from images automatically
thanks

given python-libtiff status:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=663681#22

I'd prefer giving up on cellprofiler. Anyone interested in taking
over, you can find remainings of my work in debian-med svn.

Thanks

Hi,

I would like to take over maintainership of gringotts. I have contacted
Wesley J. Landaker, the actual maintainer, and I have his approval. He
kindly pointed out the steps to follow the adoption.

I've uploaded the packages to mentors:

Bug#677341: Bug #677341 ITP: librime -- Rime Input Method Engine, the core library

Hi,

As far as I can see that kyotocabinet has been in unstable and no RC
bugs are still open, so is it a good time to consider working on
librime again? I don't recommend to wait kyotocabinet to enter testing
because it's some what unlikely now.
