Bug#688586: ITP: Diagnostic Log and Trace (DLT) -- invalid name

2012-09-24 Thread Mònica Ramírez Arceda
Hi,

According to [0] the package name you have chosen (Diagnostic Log and
Trace (DLT)) is not valid.

Debian Policy 5.6.1 [1] says:

Package names (both source and binary, see Package, Section 5.6.7) must
consist only of lower case letters (a-z), digits (0-9), plus (+) and
minus (-) signs, and periods (.). They must be at least two characters
long and must start with an alphanumeric character.

Please, could you choose another name for this package and retitle this
bug?

Thanks!

I'm also eager to see statusnet enter Debian officially, I spent some

 there's a patch in there):

Thanks a lot for the work! I also needed a poke to go back to working on
this, so I'll take a look at the patch this week and try to get the
missing pieces in place for an upload soon-ish.

May I inquire again about the status of this? Should the bug be
converted to an RFP? Could a package be uploaded to experimental? It
feels disappointing that there's apparently been no further activity
even after I did the only thing missing before upload.

Description-en: Virtual Ring Buffer library
The Virtual Ring Buffer (VRB) is an implementation of a character
FIFO ring buffer. A ring buffer is a special memory area, because
writing beyond the end of it actually results in a write at the
beginning. Such a construct comes very handy in applications where
one end of a communications channel is required to produce or consume
data at a constant rate, but the other end cannot gurantee this. This
is a common situation in multimedia applications or Voice-over-IP
 solutions, for example.
 .
VRB provides direct access to the buffer so the calling program can
construct output data in place, or parse input data in place, without
the extra step of copying data to or from a calling program provided
buffer area, thus provides a highly efficient ring buffer
 implementation.

Description-en: audio analysis and feature extraction plugins (SDK)
Vamp is an audio processing plugin system for plugins that extract
descriptive information from audio data - typically referred to as
audio analysis plugins or audio feature extraction plugins.
 .
Just like an audio effects plugin (such as a VST), a Vamp plugin is a
binary module that can be loaded up by a host application and fed
audio data. However, unlike an effects plugin, a Vamp plugin outputs
not processed audio but some sort of symbolic information. Typical
things that a Vamp plugin might calculate include the locations of
moments such as note onset times, visual representations of the audio
such as histograms, or curve data such as power or fundamental
 frequency.
 .
Hosts using Vamp plugins include Audacity and Sonic Visualiser.
 .
This package contains C and C++ header files for developing Vamp
plugins and hosts as well as source code of example plugins and a
simple host and also a utility to generate Vamp plugin RDF templates.

Description : The GENIVI AudioManager is a software framework for
low-level management of audio in the context of a car.

The AudioManager is meant to abstract audio in an IVI setting in a way that
creates
a common API allowing an independence from routing mechanisms. Designed to
handle
both dynamic and static sources and sinks it provides an API upwards to other
applications, like HMI. The AudioManager is not another routing mechanism
however.

Description : Applications in an automobile are often stand-alone
implementations, not integrated into a coherent whole. The Layer Management
software is designed to provide a vendor-specific layer management
implementation that unifies look and feel.

In the automotive domain, most HMI systems use their own window manager
implementation. Many applications (e.g. navigation, reverse camera) are
implemented standalone and therefore one service is used to composite all
applications to final image on the screen Layer Manager. The goal of this work
package is to define a common API and provide a proof-of-concept implementation
for the IVI Layer Management Service. The GENIVI IVI Layer Management provides;

- A well-defined interface
- Standardized compositing
- Convenient and consistent access to hardware accelerated modules
- Separation of HMI and Layer Management
- Dynamic extensions during runtime
- Low integration complexity
- Limited dependency on hardware

  Hi Alessio,

MIA team has contacted Székelyi Szabolcs and seems he has no time for
Debian in a foreseeable future, hence I'm setting the owner of this bug to
you, as you were the only Debian developer which showed interest.

If it's still the case, go ahead. Otherwise, sorry for the noise, feel free
to change the ITP to RFP and remove yourself or just tell me and I'll do it
  for you.

  thanks,

This is a separate DBIx::Class model class for HTML::FormHandler. It will
handle normal DBIC column accessors and a number of DBIC relationships. Single
Select fields will handle 'belongs_to' relationships, where the related table
is used to construct a list of choices. Multiple Select fields use a
many_to_many pseudo-relation to create the select list. A Compound field can
represent a single relation. A Repeatable field will map onto a multiple
relationship.

Glyr is a library to retrieve music-related metadata from several
online providers (Amazon, Discogs, Musicbrainz...).
A command-line client, glyrc, is also included.

---

This ITP was filed because I maintain gmpc (gtk frontend to mpd) and
it started using glyr instead of several providers. I believe that
such a library may be useful to others packages too.

Co-maintainers are welcome !

Description : lightweight virtual machine using the OpenJDK class library

Avian is a lightweight virtual machine and class library designed
to provide a useful subset of Java's features, suitable for building
 self-contained applications.
 .
The VM is implemented from scratch and designed to be both fast and small.
 .
  - Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation for fast method execution.
  - Generational, copying garbage collection ensures short pause times and good
spatial locality.
  - Thread-local heaps provide O(1) memory allocation with no synchronization
overhead.
  - Null pointer dereferences are handled via OS signals to avoid unnecessary
branches.

This application uses Mapquest for search and directions search, the
open API using Openstreetmap data and not requiring an API key. Maps
 are standard tiles from OpenStreetMap.

It will also show GPX tracks if dragged to an open program.
 .
When viewing results, in most cases a single click in the result
listing will highlight the result. For searches, a double click
will save the location to 'My places'. During directions search,
a double click in the results will set proper locations to be able

HTTP::CookieMonster was created because messing around with HTTP::Cookies is
non-trivial. HTTP::Cookies a very useful module, but using it is not always
as easy and clean as it could be. HTTP::CookieMonster gives you a simple
interface for getting and setting cookies.

I'm marking this package as orphaned because the maintainer wrote this:

 Hello,
I lost interest in Twitter long time ago and was in my plans to make
a last update before orphaning this package, given the lack of time
(and interest), this 'last update' never happened.
If you want to take over and be the maintainer of python-twitter,
 please go ahead.
Also, you can contribute to the maintenance through the SVN of DPMT [0].

And last but not least, is not that I'm not active, I really have
not as much as free time as I had then. These days I'm slowly
(really slow) trying to update the packages I used to maintain, so
don't sent the MIA team yet :-)

Bug#688723: ITP: erlang-cowboy -- small, fast and modular HTTP server written in Erlang

2012-09-24 Thread Nobuhiro Iwamatsu
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Nobuhiro Iwamatsu iwama...@debian.org

* Package name: erlang-cowboy
  Version : 0.6.1
Upstream Author : Loïc Hoguin es...@ninenines.eu
* URL : https://github.com/extend/cowboy.git
* License : ISC license
  Programming Lang: erlang
Description : small, fast and modular HTTP server written in Erlang

Cowboy is also a socket acceptor pool, able to accept connections
for any kind of TCP protocol.
  .
Cowboy aims to provide the following advantages:
  .
* 'Small' code base.
* Damn 'fast'.
* 'Modular': transport and protocol handlers are replaceable.
* 'Binary HTTP' for greater speed and lower memory usage.
* Easy to 'embed' inside another application.
* Selectively 'dispatch' requests to handlers, allowing you to send some
requests to your embedded code and others to a FastCGI application in
  PHP or Ruby.
* No parameterized module. No process dictionary. 'Clean' Erlang code.
