Bug#734958: RFP: posterizer -- lossy PNG compressor for RGBA PNGs

2014-01-11 Thread Francois Marier
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: posterizer
  Version : 1.6
Upstream Author : Kornel Lesiński por...@pornel.net
* URL : https://github.com/pornel/mediancut-posterizer
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: C
Description : lossy PNG compressor for RGBA PNGs

Reduces number of distinct color/alpha intensities in the image. Unlike typical
posterization, which distributes levels evenly, this one tries to pick levels
intelligently using varaince-based Median Cut and Voronoi iteration.

The goal of this tool is to make RGB/RGBA PNG images more compressible,
assuming that lower number of unique byte values increses chance of finding
repetition and improves efficiency of Huffman coding.

Bug#579605: TAG: sd4l -- On-The-Fly Encryption

2014-01-11 Thread intrigeri
Hi,

Danny Piccirillo wrote (29 Apr 2010 02:11:40 GMT) :
ScramDisk for Linux (SD4L) is a great OTFE alternative that also

 http://sd4l.sourceforge.net/

The last upstream release was published in 2011.

Besides, cryptsetup now supports the TrueCrypt on-disk format,
so perhaps a better course of action would be to use this from the
desktop GUI's, which probably starts with adding such support to
udisks: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70164

Bug#511715: we can generate clicks for your site

2014-01-11 Thread Steven

Had bad luck with PPC (Pay-Per-Click) campaigns before? Spent more money on
Adwords than you made back in business?
I can help you drastically change that. This type of advertising has become so
complicated now days that the average person simply doesn't have the time or
the experience to be able to make PPC campaigns work for them.

Reply back to this email and let me show you the difference that a
professionally managed PPC campaign can make. We have lots of references from
happy customers who have finally started to turn a profit instead of just
overpaying.

it's a mistake on our side... I'll setup a jenkins on 2.6 to avoid this
issue

Description : lightweight regexp-based XML parser

XML::Parser::Lite implements an XML parser with an interface similar to
XML::Parser. Though not all callbacks are supported, you should be able to
use it in the same way you use XML::Parser.

Note that you cannot use regular expressions or split in callbacks. This is
due to a limitation of perl's regular expression implementation (which is not
re-entrant).

Running::Commentary provides a single subroutine: run() which is
designed to be a more informative and less error-prone replacement for
the built-in system(). run() acts like system(), except that it returns
true on success and false on failure, and it announces what it's doing.

It also provides a compile-time keyword: run_with with which you can set
lexically scoped default options for run().

Description : Perl module for recursive descent XML parsing

The conventional models for parsing XML are either DOM (a data structure
representing the entire document tree is created) or SAX (callbacks are
issued for each element in the XML).

XML grammar is recursive - so it's nice to be able to write recursive parsers
for it. XML::Descent allows such parsers to be created.

I request an adopter for the cuetools package.

---
You can get the full subversion history and data with:
svn co --username guest --password guest -r 2649
https://svn.linux-dev.org/svn/pkg/ pkg
---

The package description is:
cuetools is a set of programs that are useful for manipulating CUE sheet
(cue) files and Table of Contents (toc) files. CUE and TOC files are a way
to represent the layout of a data or audio CD in a machine-readable ASCII
format. The package includes these utilities:
 .
- cueconvert: convert between CUE and TOC formats
- cuebreakpoints: print the breakpoints from a CUE or TOC file
- cueprint: print disc and track information for a CUE or TOC file
- cuetag: tag files based on CUE/TOC file information
 .
Probably the most popular use is to split a large audio file into many
small files according to a CUE or TOC, for example:
 .
 cuebreakpoints disc.cue | shnsplit disc.wav
