Interesting that I have missed this the first time that you did this
work. Funny thing is that we are trying to get things related to
FreePascal into one team, so I invite you to have a look at pkg-pascal
on Alioth [1].

Furthermore, there is a package called tuxcmd, which is also a
twin-panel file manager and also written in FreePascal. doublecmd
wouldn't be a fork of that project (which has stalled upstream)?

If upstream of doublecmd is really active, maybe we should drop tuxcmd
altogether (it is orphaned). If we do, maybe we could help people
migrate in the next release by handling this properly.

Could you investigate (if you have the time of course) if tuxcmd has
features that are still lacking in doublecmd?

Description : Cloud Sphinx theme and related extensions

cloud_sptheme contains a Sphinx theme named Cloud, and some related
Sphinx extensions. Cloud and its extensions are primarily oriented
towards generating html documentation for Python libraries. It provides
numerous small enhancements to make the html documentation more
interactive, and improve the layout on mobile devices.
 .
In addition to the Cloud theme, this package provides a few extra Sphinx
extensions which may be useful when documenting Python projects; and
 should be theme-agnostic:
 .
 cloud_sptheme.ext.autodoc_sections
Patches the sphinx.ext.autodoc to handle RST section headers inside
   docstrings.
 cloud_sptheme.ext.issue_tracker
Adds a special :issue: role for quickly linking to your project's
   issue tracker.
 cloud_sptheme.ext.escaped_samp_literals
Patches Sphinx to permit escaped {} characters within a :samp: role.
 cloud_sptheme.ext.table_styling
Enhances .. table directive to support per-column text alignment and
   other layout features.

Bug#736509: ITP: r-cran-polycub -- GNU R Cubature over Polygonal Domains

2014-01-24 Thread Andreas Tille
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Andreas Tille ti...@debian.org

* Package name: r-cran-polycub
  Version : 0.4-1
Upstream Author : Sebastian Meyer Sebastian.Meyer at ifspm.uzh.ch
* URL : http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/polyCub/
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: R
Description : GNU R Cubature over Polygonal Domains
PolyCub is a GNU R package providing methods for cubature (numerical
integration) over polygonal domains. Currently, four cubature methods
are implemented: the two-dimensional midpoint rule (a simple wrapper
around spatstat::as.im.function), the product Gauss cubature proposed by
Sommariva and Vianello (2007), an adaptive cubature for isotropic
functions via line integrate() along the boundary, and quasi-exact
methods specific to the integration of the bivariate Gaussian density
over polygonal and circular domains. For cubature over simple
hypercubes, the packages cubature and R2Cuba are more appropriate.

This package is maintained as a precondition for r-cran-survaillance
by the Debian Science team in SVN at

HTTParty is a Ruby library to build easily classes that can use
Web-based APIs and related services. At its simplest, the
HTTParty module is included within a class, which gives the class a
get method that can retrieve data over HTTP. Further directives,
however, instruct HTTParty to parse results (XML, JSON, and so on),
define base URIs for the requests, and define HTTP authentication
information.

This is part of the packaging effort of gitlab.

Bug#680352: Conquest Dicom Server Packaging

2014-01-24 Thread Pablo Lorenzzoni
Hello Mathieu,

I am interested in helping conquest-dicom-server packaging.

I've reviewed debian-med svn for the status and compared it with my own
private efforts of doing the same thing and I think we both reached the same
conclusion wrt how to treat the shipped modified versions of libjasper and
libjpeg (static linking) and how to treat the dependencies on liblua5.1 and
libsqlite3 (use the shared library already available in the repository).

I wish to know if there's any uncommitted work and what are the plans for the
package. Also, do you remain interested in the task? How can I help?

Best regards,

Pablo

private efforts of doing the same thing and I think we both reached the same
conclusion wrt how to treat the shipped modified versions of libjasper and
libjpeg (static linking) and how to treat the dependencies on liblua5.1 and
libsqlite3 (use the shared library already available in the repository).

I wish to know if there's any uncommitted work and what are the plans for the
package. Also, do you remain interested in the task? How can I help?

Everything was pushed last time I was interested in it. I moved away
from using it. Feel free to hijack anything you want from debian-med
svn.

Good luck

Bug#570611: ITP: mythtv -- A personal video recorder application

2014-01-24 Thread Wookey
I did some more work on this package, fixing the things that were obvious
issues on Debian:

Add init script
fix libtiff5-dev - libtiff-dev build-dep issue
Fix nonexistent 'syslog' user in postinsts script of mythtv-common
Add -Wdeprecated-declarations so that mythtarchive plugin builds
Add DEB_BUILD_OPTS noopt, nostrip support
Include a bit of extra info in README on getting started with mythtv-setup

The built packages are available at
http://wookware.org/software/repo/pool/main/m/mythtv/
built for jessie

Attached is the diff against fixes/0.27 branch

I will test these and see if there are issues.

Is there a more stable branch I should be working against, and if you
are happy with this stuff would it make sense to give me git access (or
do we have some kind of review process or some other place to ddiscuss
things than this bug?)

I don't have time lately to care about this package.
Indeed I don't time for real care since about years.
It would be glad if sy. could continue the work, care about to correspond
to utf8 things, to package the new upstream version from
magyarispell.sourceforge.net, etc.

Thanks!

Bug#660826: For those who care about ElasticSearch: build dependencies, RFH

2014-01-24 Thread Sylvestre Ledru
Hello

Congratulations!

As a first step, I am going to document the various required
dependencies in the form of RFP bugs that are going to be linked to this
bug (#660826: RFP Elasticsearch) and I will try to make my efforts
available through git repositories as a possible starting point for
whoever wants to pick up from there.

The following packages that are not yet in Debian were needed:

 - Apache Lucene 4.6 (lucene3 which is available is not enough.)
 - A newer netty (3.9.0.Final is wanted, we have 3.2.6.Final in
   unstable.)
 - spatial4j
 - compress-lzf 0.9.6 (API breakage with a class becoming abstract after
   that. WTF?)
 - hyperic-sigar
 - carrotsearch-hppc
 - icu4j-49 (Not sure if the exact major version is needed or if it's
possible to just go the current fifty-something version instead.)

Just to make sure I understand, you did the proof of concept but you are
not planning to go forward.
You are looking for people to complete the work ?

Bug#703188: Any progress?

2014-01-24 Thread Axel Wagner
Hi,

there has been 5 months since the last activity on this bug and afaict
there has been no changes to the packaging either. Are there still
efforts of fixing the package behind the scenes? ruby-pygments.rb is a
dependency of the new upstream version of jekyll, so we would like to
see this happen. If there is anything I can do to speed this up, please
let me know.

Best,

Bug#660826: For those who care about ElasticSearch: build dependencies, RFH

2014-01-24 Thread Hilko Bengen
* Sylvestre Ledru:

Just to make sure I understand, you did the proof of concept but you
are not planning to go forward.

I see most of the listed packages as means to an end: a working ES
package that can be built from sources without having to deal with the
Maven-specific assumptions that are simply broken from Debian's point of
view.

As stated, I am no Java developer and don't really understand Maven and
Debian's tools to deal with Maven well enough to fix problems --
therefore I don't really see myself as competent in maintaining those
packages.

You are looking for people to complete the work ?

Pretty much. I am looking for people to take over maintainership of the
packages that ElasticSearch depends upon.

Now, I could have just put a line like

Maintainer: Debian Java maintainers
pkg-java-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org

into the debian/control files and could have just uploaded the packages
after posting quick ITPs with a plan to immediately forget about the
packages, but that's what I'd consider antisocial behavior.

Cheers,
-Hilko

I am still looking for a sponsor for it.

Thanks to Eriberto's tireless help, I think I have cleared all the problems.
Please review and sponsor.

Upstream Author : Francisco Rosales fro...@fi.upm.es.

*Description : Generic shell script compiler
shc creates a stripped binary executable from shell script

shc encodes and encrypts a shell script and generates C source code with
the added expiration capability. Its main purpose is to protect your shell

I know, but that's not the same package. python-taskflow, which I'm

 It's already in Debian:

As per above, no, it's not. And unfortunately, my package will even have
to Conflicts: with python-concurrent.futures :(

Ähm, what? Both python-concurrent.futures and the proposed python-future
point to the same upstream. The sha1sum of the tarball found at the URL
you have given and the sha1sum of the the orig tarball of
python-concurrent.futures in the archive are the same [1]. If there is a
problem with the package in the archive, please report it. There is no
need to package the same package twice with a different name.

Wookey,

This is the right place for discussion about getting mythtv into Debian.

Thanks for this work it looks useful but I won't be able to have good look
for a few days.

The two critical issues are :

1. Does it build against the Depends from Debian only, and

2. Does all the code within the upstream mythtv base meet the DFSG?

We have a team setup on alioth.debian.org called pkg-mythtv which hasn't
seen a lot of attention recent days, including an svn archive. Please login
to alioth and request membership of that team and I can grant you commit
access.

That would be a good place for you contributions to be stored.

Bug#736523: Indeed, python-concurrent.futures is the same

2014-01-24 Thread Thomas Goirand
Hi,

Indeed, that's the same source package.

Indeed as well, there's lots of problems in the current package in
Debian. The current maintainer, Sandro Tosi mo...@debian.org,
completely removes the futures API.

As a consequence, there's no way for a normal package to use
concurrent.futures correctly. I have been stuck on the python-taskflow
for a long long time, not understanding what happened: it failed on most
of it's unit tests (a bit less than 200 failed unit tests) because of
this problem.

Here's the problems I saw in the version 2.1.6-1 of the package in Sid:

* python-concurrent.futures currently doesn't install itself at all
inside /usr/lib/python2.7, which I don't think makes it possible to use
it at all.

* Surprisingly, there's a patch to *not* install the futures python
module where upstream code is expecting it. I removed that.

* the sphinx doc isn't handled correctly. There's was
${sphinxdoc:Depends}, so not correct dependencies. Sandro: lintian must
have warned you about it, next time, please read the lintian report
before uploading.

* IMO, there's a missing Provides: python-futures, since that's what the
dh_python2 is adding as depends: when I build python-taskflow.

* the package is build-depending on python-support, which has been
deprecated in the favor of dh_python2. Please see:
https://wiki.debian.org/Python/TransitionToDHPython2

Since the package is team maintained, I've fixed all these problems and
just uploaded version 2.1.6-2 to Sid. I will ask for rejection of
python-futures by the FTP masters.

Cheers,

Thomas Goirand (zigo)

Is this really important enough to be part of the package description?

Upstream is currently reviewing it's doc, so the long description will
change as soon as this is re-written. This is scheduled to happen soon
(but maybe after the package is in Sid).
