Bug#809109: RFA: monkeystudio - Qt 4 Integrated Development Environment (IDE)

2015-12-27 Thread Evgeni Golov
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Ohai, I am looking for a new maintainer for monkeystudio as I am not using
it anymore.

The package is in reasonable shape, but needs a transition to Qt5. Upstream
promised to look into that, as the current code FTBFS with Qt5.

Upstream is alive and responsive :)

This has been held back pending the upstream release of one dependency
and the packaging of some other dependencies, those tasks have been
getting done, just very slowly.

I request an adopter for the gpointing-device-settings package.

The package description is:
GUI tool for setting pointing devices. Currently it can configure mouse type
device (mouse, trackpoint etc.) and touchpads.
 .
For mouse you can configure middle button emulation, wheel emulation and
 scrolling.
 .
It can enable and disable touchpad, or scrolling on it as well as additional
parameters like palm detection, locked drags, tapping and scrolling.
 .
It is a successor of GSynaptics.

The reason for looking somebody else to take care of this package is
fact that I no longer have any device with touchpad, which is quite
requirement to test most of the functionality and work on the bugs.

In case willing addopter is not a DD, I can offer sponzorship for
uploads of this package.

Bug#744082: Progress report

2015-12-27 Thread Felix Lechner
This is a JNI glue library. I should ask the sponsor of wolfSSL to upload
it, but have not done so. The Debian package is ready to go.

wolfSSL is the latest version of an encryption library popular in embedded
environments. It is used in MySQL and Skype. cURL, stunnel, lighttpd can
build with it. Other software that uses it is cataloged here:

Bug#747618: festvox-us-slt-hts: changing from ITP to RFP

2015-12-27 Thread Sergio Oller
Just to report progress and status, I created the package here:

https://alioth.debian.org/plugins/scmgit/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=tts/festvox-us-slt-hts.git;a=summary

I am no longer interested in looking for a sponsor for the package, and the
packaging itself is probably outdated (last commit August 2014).

If anyone is willing to make the effort of packaging it and maintaining it,
feel free to do so.

Drupal8 stayed for many months in the "just about to be released"
status; I expected it to be ready toship with Jessie. As it turned out
not to be the case, I just let the ITP age.

I have recently retaken activity on the packaging, and am working on
it currently. I will soon send a RFH and try to assemble a
team-maintained package; meanwhile, I'll just move this back to ITP.

Thanks!

Bug#732200: open-time-zone-converter: changing from ITP to RFP

2015-12-27 Thread David Maiorino
Hello Lucas,

Sorry for any confusion, that looks like a duplicate bug. The package I have
been working has been completed and submitted with the following RFP:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=775509

As a result, can you please close out BUG#732200? This bug is no longer needed.

Thank you for the help!

Bug#768200: annex: changing from ITP to RFP

2015-12-27 Thread Markus Koschany
I maintain Megaglest for Debian. At the moment I am not interested
enough to package this content package for Megaglest but I think
packaging it would be a good opportunity for someone to get involved
with Debian Games in general.

Whoever wants to package Annex for Debian should be prepared to help
with maintaining Megaglest. The current package should be split into
megaglest-engine and megaglest to make it possible to install Annex and
Megaglest together.

I have tested the game with this approach and it works fine at a first
glance. However I also noticed a segmentation fault later on but I was
not sure whether Annex or Megaglest were causing it. It would also be
great if Annex could provide the same amount of quality source material
as megaglest-data, so someone should get in contact with the author and
ask him to release svg images and Gimp files if they are available.

Bug#712924: python3-sympy: changing from ITP to RFP

2015-12-27 Thread Thomas Kluyver
Thanks Lucas. I vaguely recall that I did actually package it, but never
managed to interest anyone in sponsoring it, and then got bored of
trying to do Debian packaging.

It looks like there is now a python3-sympy package in Debian, so I think
you can close this.

thanks

The Debian package is created, upstream, I'd need a sponsor to publish the
package, tho.

Well, this module as well as the others I opened ITPs for actually *are*
packaged and I do alrady use them in a project. However, they are not
uploaded since I'm no uploader and nobody else seems interested in them.
So basically the only thing needed is someone actually uploading them to
the distribution.

Is there something like an RFU or can you (or I) turn these ITPs into
RFSes?

Thanks,
Michael

Bug#754198: bccontrib: changing from ITP to RFP

2015-12-27 Thread Juliana Louback
Hi Lucas,

Yes I am interested in packaging it. I recall starting the process, I
honestly don't know what stopped it and I apologize profusely. I sent the
email, will work on it this week.

I'm gradually moving on to other projects in Debian. The openchange
package is in name maintained by the Samba packaging team, but in
practice I'm the only one who has contributed to it.

The client side code works, but the server still needs a lot of
polishing. Several of the recommended components (ncacn_http server side
support, free/busy, etc) also haven't been packaged yet.

I'll keep an eye on the package from now, but it would be nice if
somebody else could take over.

Description : LWP::UserAgent with caching based on CHI

This is a User Agent for caching responses to HTTP requests. It uses
the new and flexible CHI caching framework, and it has been developed
using Moo, which makes it easy to modify certain behaviour.

There exists several caching user agents already, but they all do
small parts of the standard, and some do not really do caching at all,
only validation. The focus of this module is support for RFC7234 and
RFC7232. Support for the former is quite complete allready. Also, it
is not tied to a single caching mechanism, since it uses CHI.

* Package name: libanyevent-termkey-perl
  Version : 0.02
  Upstream Author : Paul Evans
* URL : https://metacpan.org/release/AnyEvent-TermKey
* License : Perl Artistic License
  Programming Lang: Perl
Description : AnyEvent::TermKey - terminal key input using libtermkey
with AnyEvent

This package provides for reading key input from the
terminal in event-based software using the popular
AnyEvent framework.

It is used by Nama (which provides terminal-based
recording, mixing and editing of multitrack audio)
to provide "hotkeys" for selecting the current
track, effect, parameter and stepsize, and for
increment/decrement to currently selected parameter.

AnyEvent::TermKey depends on Term::TermKey, which
will also need to be packaged.

I ask the assistance of the Debian Perl Team
to package and maintain this small, stable
and useful library.

Regards,

Joel Roth (Nama upstream author and Debian package maintainer)

Bug#809189: O: mathomatic -- portable Computer Algebra System (CAS)

2015-12-27 Thread Sandro Tosi
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the mathomatic package.

The package description is:
Mathomatic implements most of the rules of algebra for the
 mathematical operators +, -, *, /, % (modulus), and power (including
 roots).
 .
 Mathomatic can symbolically:
 .
  * combine and solve equations,
  * completely simplify and compare expressions and equations,
  * do simple calculus transformations and series,
  * do standard, complex number, modular, and polynomial arithmetic,
  * generate optimized C, Java, and Python language code from

Description : perl wrapper around libtermkey

Term::TermKey provides a light perl wrapper around the libtermkey library.
Term::TermKey attempts to provide an abstract way to read keypress events in
terminal-based programs by providing structures that describe keys, rather
than simply returning raw bytes as read from the TTY device.

The package will be maintained under the umbrella of the Debian Perl Group.

Description : basic implementation of the __geo_interface__

PyGeoIf provides a GeoJSON-like protocol for geo-spatial (GIS) vector data.
 .
So when you want to write your own geospatial library with support for this
protocol you may use pygeoif as a starting point and build your functionality
 on top of it
 .
You may think of pygeoif as a ‘shapely ultralight’ which lets you construct
geometries and perform very basic operations like reading and writing
geometries from/to WKT, constructing line strings out of points, polygons from
linear rings, multi polygons from polygons, etc. It was inspired by shapely and
implements the geometries in a way that when you are familiar with shapely you
feel right at home with pygeoif

retitle 433270 RFP: processing -- a programming language for images,
animations, and interactions
noowner 433270

Hi,

A long time ago, you expressed interest in packaging processing. Unfortunately,
it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITP bugs open
for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to
refrain from packaging the software.

This is an automatic email to change the status of processing from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 12 months.

If you are still interested in packaging processing, please send a mail to
 with:
