  Description : Webserver Originated from Kimchi

Wok is a cherrypy-based web framework with HTML5 support that is extended by
plugins which expose functionality through REST APIs.
Examples of such plugins are Kimchi (Virtualization Management) and Ginger
(System Administration). Wok comes with a sample plugin for education purposes.
Wok runs through wok service.

In order to update kimchi and ginger packages to their latest upstream
versions (2.3), wok package is needed as a dependency.

Wok is a split out of kimchi's web framework. Kimchi is now focused on
virtualization functionality and became a plugin of Wok.

Most of Wok code was already being analyzed as part of Kimchi ITP at
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=772823 and RFS at
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=800966.

We intend to provide Wok along with Kimchi, Ginger and Ginger-Base
plugins every Debian release.

We look for a sponsor.

 This library implements methods to read rdb files in Go. The rdb file
 format is used by Redis to store persistent data.

This Go library is being packaged as a build dependency of gitea (a gogs fork).
There are a lot of build dependencies; I'm sorry. :(

Bug#859678: ITP: registration-agent -- standalone SIP registration utility

Daemon process that sends SIP REGISTER requests, allowing the user to
specify an arbitrary Contact header where incoming calls will be directed.

This is useful for people who want to send a REGISTER request to their
ITSP telling it to send calls to their SIP proxy instead of a phone or
Asterisk server.

Oh!
I didn't know that.
Gonna move the 4 repos over to Alioth then, once I've figured out the hows and
wheres.

Scala Pickling is an automatic serialization framework made for Scala.
It's fast, boilerplate-free, and allows users to easily swap in/out different
serialization formats (such as binary, or JSON), or even to provide
their own custom serialization format.

 This Go library implements a NoSQL database with kv, list, hash, zset,
 bitmap, and set. This library uses goleveldb as a backend to store data.
 It is a pure Go implementation of ledisdb and shrink.
 .
 Features:
   - Rich data structure: KV, List, Hash, ZSet, Bitmap, Set
   - Store large amounts of data in memory
   - Support expiration and TTL
   - Easy to use interface

This Go library is being packaged as a build dependency of gitea (a gogs fork).
There are a lot of build dependencies; I'm sorry. :(

  Description : Multi-provider authentication for Go

 This Go library provides a simple, clean, and idiomatic way to write
 authentication packages for Go web applications. It allows writing
 OAuth, OAuth2, or any other protocol providers that implement the
 Provider and Session interfaces.

This Go library is being packaged as a build dependency of gitea (a gogs fork).
There are a lot of build dependencies; I'm sorry. :(

 This minetest extension adds a great number of home decor elements like
 window shutters, flower pots, home electronics, tables, kitchen and
 bathroom fixtures, etc.

I plan to package it within the Debian Games Team repository, were other
minetest-mod-* packages already are.

Hello!

This is a borderline RFA/RFH. I've already packaged storaged, which is
a fork of udisks2 but more targeted at supporting advanced "enterpricy"
storage solutions. It's currently sitting in experimental, since I don't
have time to properly maintain it myself and thus shouldn't upload it
targeted at testing/stretch.
Many backends are currently disabled since their dependencies are
currently not available in Debian.
I've also not properly tested that it's functional, but TTBOMK it is.

Further information can be found at:
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/storaged

Like the packaging vcs at:
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/pkg-storaged.git

There's also interest from upstream to see Debian support and their
bug tracker has an issue for this, see:
https://github.com/storaged-project/storaged/issues/41#issuecomment-205769607

Upstream has packaged the dependencies which are not available in Debian
in separate Ubuntu PPAs and updated the storaged package in an Ubuntu PPA
to enable the new backends, which should serve as a very good base for
someone willing to maintain these in Debian!

If you'd like to see storaged (which is an optional but quite central
dependency of cockpit-project.org) in a future stable Debian release,
then this is your chance to help out!

Get in touch if you'd like to be the primary maintainer of storaged
in Debian. I'm willing to assist as a co-maintainer and can also sponsor
you if you're not already a Debian Developer.

Regards,
Andreas Henriksson

Bug#859627: ITP: open-infrastructure-locales-c.utf-8 -- Circumvent Debian locales packages using C.UTF-8

2017-04-05 Thread Daniel Baumann
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

  * Package name : open-infrastructure-locales-c.utf-8
Upstream Author : Daniel Baumann
  * License : GPL-3+
Description : Circumvent Debian locales packages using C.UTF-8

from the manpage:

---snip---
RATIONAL

Problem
~~~
On Debian based system the locales or locales-all package provide not only
the localization files itself but also some system configuration
If any of this is missing, the fallback local of libc is used (C and not
C.UTF-8). Therefore, when falling back to a non-UTF-8 locale some packages
behave differently, such as:
  * showing warnings on the command line
  * failing to start
Additionally some packages in Debian depend on locales or locales-all
eventhough C.UTF-8 from libc-bin (which is marked as an essential package
and thus the C.UTF-8 locale is always present on any Debian based system)
would be enough.
Use Case
On minimal systems such as servers and containers one prefers to use
the C.UTF-8 locale instead of en_US.UTF-8. This can save up to 125MB
(locales-all) or at least save the system from the reconfigure and
preseed handling on upgrades (locales).
Solution
The locale-c.utf-8 package provides the necessary glue on the system
level (configuration files) as well as the on the package manager level
(conflicts/breaks/provides on locales and locales-all) to allow using
C.UTF-8
as the default locale by not breaking any other packages assumptions.
Daniel
Actually, polyclipping/clipper.hpp is correct.
pkg-config gives me -I/usr/include.
I updated the patch accordingly and dropped the removal of libs/*. This should
be sufficient for cmake to not pick any leftovers.
Solved by https://cmake.org/cmake/help/v3.0/module/FindPkgConfig.html
It's building and working as expected.
This, and fonts-open-sans - and we should be good to go.
I haven't received more feedback from the font maintainers, need to check back
and see if the package is ok now.
  Description : Extend "os" package with Executable and ExecutableFolder
 This Go library implements methods to be used for finding the currently
 running executable's file name and location. This can be useful for
 upgrading the current executable or finding resources located relative
 to the executable file. Both working directory and the os.Args[0] value
 are arbitrary and cannot be relied on; os.Args[0] can be "faked".
 .
 These methods are available in the "os" package from Go 1.8 and later.
This Go library is being packaged as a build dependency of gitea (a gogs fork).
There are a lot of build dependencies; I'm sorry. :(
I agree this is the best way; my point was that you should not have a
repository on github with a copy of the source, and the watch file should point
to Ultimaker's github.  Having a repository with the packaging is good.  You
can also host that in our team repository on Alioth.  You are a member with
commit access.
It seems like there is:
https://cmake.org/cmake/help/v3.0/module/FindPkgConfig.html
It shouldn't.  Worst case, you can remove the bundled files and replace them
with symlinks as part of the build.  But using pkg-config is better; if
anything changes, that will change with it and it will continue to work.
Ah yes, I heard someone talk about that, and was told that it worked, but
getting 2.4 was the easier fix for me. :)
Thanks again,
Bas
Bug#859596: RFA: molly-guard -- 9027b495eb885926ceab360590ed53b7
2017-04-05 Thread Francois Marier
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
I request an adopter for the molly-guard package.
The main thing that needs fixing at the moment are the diversions (bug
#837928) since that's causing issues with usrmerge.
There is also a reported problem with systemd-sysv (bug #856024) that needs
to be investigated. The diversions are also at fault here.
If you can help with either of these things in time for stretch, but don't
want to commit to maintaining the package, I would still be glad to hear
from you.
Francois
