It would be appreciated by many users of Wireshark on Debian (and > derivatives) when this would be available for the Debian build of Wireshark. The package has a mediastreamer plugin. In version 1.0.2 it fails to build and from what I understand it seems it would need libmediastream2. >From what I see that plugin does not change the basic library. Bug#870519: RFA: xabacus -- simulation of the ancient calculator (plain X version)
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the xabacus package. Again. It was just that I didn't like to see the package unmaintained (cf. debbug#382562 and debbug#39), but as it turns out I'm not even using the package anymore, so another person might be better suited as a maintainer. The package description is: This program is an implementation of the original abacus, it provides the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Roman and Russian version and can be modified to allow others. . This version was compiled without the Motif GUI widget library and thus shows limited user interface functionality. See xmabacus for the extended version. But maybe we could review this during > the debcamp early august! :) It's debcamp time :-) Please propose a good time to meet up, if you have any free time. Also, I'm thinking about attending your intro to packaging talk, because I'm always interested in ways to potentially improve my work, or make it more efficient. Finally, I'm not sure how many people there will be helping with the workshop, but in case there's high attendance and you're short-staffed I can help with intermediate-level packaging stuff, where to find documentation, questions like "is there a dh_helper for that, and if so, how do I learn to use it?", splitting src packages, advanced watch files (exclude files with d/copyright, making +dfsg packages, repack with different compression, and gpg signature verification), intermediate d/copyright, d/control policy and conventions, a variety of cases when a d/rules override is necessary, etc. I would also take care to only propose solutions that harmonize with your talk, because that's important for intro-level courses! (eg: avoid paradox of choice effect) If we meet up before then, maybe you could use this review to validate if I'd be an asset to your workshop? ;-) > No animal has more liberty than the cat; but it buries the mess it > makes. Bug#857248: progress? report
I've been looking at this a bit at debcamp. - several patches can be dropped because they (or some equivalent) are now upstream - there is a long running divergence from upstream that provides daemonization and logging. There seems to be zero prospect of upstream taking this patch. There is also zero prospect that I want to maintain a fork of nullmailer in Debian. I think that for systemd users this functionality should be provided by just running nullmailer under systemd. I'm open to ideas on how to support nullmailer users with alternate init (and co-maintenence by such users). - there is currently one failing test in the upstream code of 2.0. http://lists.untroubled.org/?list=nullmailer=showmsg=765 I'm hoping for some hint from upstream. Adding in the remaining debian patches causes further test failures, but hopefully that will be easy to bisect. signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Bug#768073: Collaboration
Hello, We all need LXD as it is way more faster than Docker. I have been using LXC for quite a long time and it is the ultimate virtualization tool. How can we collaborate on LXD/LXC? LXD is the future. Could you create a repository to receive patches on the project? We probably need to discuss integration with apparmor (but I read that apparmor rules were managed by LXD). Kind regards, French Fries
