Initial release (Closes: #884968)

Bug#884968: ITP: commons-email -- Apache Commons Java API for sending email

2017-12-21 Thread Christopher Hoskin
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Christopher Hoskin

* Package name: commons-email
  Version : 1.5
  Upstream Author : The Apache Software Foundation
* URL : https://commons.apache.org/proper/commons-email/
* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: Java
  Description : Apache Commons Java API for sending email

 Commons Email aims to provide a API for sending email. It is built on top of
 the Java Mail API, which it aims to simplify.
 .
 Some of the mail classes that are provided are as follows:
 .
  * SimpleEmail - This class is used to send basic text based emails.
  * MultiPartEmail - This class is used to send multipart messages. This allows
 a text message with attachments either inline or attached.
  * HtmlEmail - This class is used to send HTML formatted emails. It has all of
 the capabilities as MultiPartEmail allowing attachments to be easily added.
 It also supports embedded images.
  * ImageHtmlEmail - This class is used to send HTML formatted emails with
 inline images. It has all of the capabilities as HtmlEmail but transform
 all image references to inline images.
  * EmailAttachment - This is a simple container class to allow for easy
 handling of attachments. It is for use with instances of MultiPartEmail and
 HtmlEmail.

I plan to maintain this package in the pkg-java team. I do not require a
sponsor.

Bug#884952: ITP: frontaccounting -- web-based double entry accounting and ERP program

2017-12-21 Thread Janusz Dobrowolski
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Janusz Dobrowolski

* Package name: frontaccounting
  Version : 2.4.3
  Upstream Author : FrontAccounting Team
* URL : http://www.frontaccounting.com/
* License : GPL3
  Programming Lang: PHP
  Description : web-based double entry accounting and ERP application

Simple but powerful accounting system supporting most every day business
operations like sales, purchases, simple manufacturing, fixed assets
depreciation and other processes. After initial system configuration all
necessary GL postings are done automatically, so the system can be operated
without double entry accounting skills. Manual GL posting of any not directly
supported business operation is also possible.

The program in older version was previously packaged in wheezy, but since then
it was orphaned in Debian, so is absent in later distributions. Now I've
created new package based on latest stable upstream release, including all
improvements made upstream during the years.

There is probably no such application currently available in Debian, so the
frontaccounting package would fill the long lasting gap for SME web based
accounting program.

  Description : Voronoi diagram-based tool to find atom contacts

The analysis of macromolecular structures often requires a comprehensive
definition of atomic neighborhoods. Such a definition can be based on the
Voronoi diagram of balls, where each ball represents an atom of some van
der Waals radius. Voronota is a software tool for finding all the
vertices of the Voronoi diagram of balls. Such vertices correspond to the
centers of the empty tangent spheres defined by quadruples of balls.
Voronota is especially suitable for processing three-dimensional
structures of biological macromolecules such as proteins and RNA.

Voronota is directed at generating Voronoi diagrams for atoms, however,
it could be directly applied to other fields of interest as a generic
algorithm. Voronota was compared to QTFier and awVoronoi and it was
shown to perfom better than these two tools with any number of atoms
(Olechnovič et al. 2014, doi:10.1002/jcc.23538).

I plan to team-maintain the package in Debian Science. I will need a
sponsor to upload the package once it is ready.

yes, it's basically impossible to run the tests in the build system: the
unprivileged ones need a working LXC setup with cgroups (I actually have
trouble with them with my user out of a chroot), and the privileged one
aren't skipped because fakeroot...

I discussed this a bit on #pkg-go and I decided to loose the tests for
the initial packaging, and plan to setup the tests in autopkgtest instead.

There is still some work to be done, I hope I'll find time to finish
this weekend.

 So I started looking packaging LXD stable-2.0 as well, and asked to join
 the pkg-lxc team (pending approval).

Bug#881424: AusweisApp2

2017-12-21 Thread A. Klitzing
Hi there,

let me know if you need some help to package it! :-)
As you mentioned... you really should require Qt 5.10 and OpenSSL 1.1.0!

Version 1.14.0 is released now.

The module parses OpenOffice 1.x spreadsheet files (.sxc) and returns Perl
data structure to access its values.

The package is a dependency of libspreadsheet-read-perl, but is silently
ignored if not used.

I plan to team-maintain the package in Debian Perl Group. I will need a

* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: Java
  Description : Java library for receiving SMTP mail

SubEtha SMTP is a Java library which allows your application to receive SMTP
mail with a simple, easy-to-understand API.

This component can be used in almost any kind of email processing application.
Hypothetical (and not-so hypothetical) uses include:

  * A mailing list manager (see SubEthaMail)
  * A mail server that delivers mail to user inboxes
  * A mail archiver like The Mail Archive
  * An email test harness (see Wiser)
  * An email2fax system
  * SMTPseudo A filtering forwarding server
  * Baton SMTP proxy for one or more backends (rules based on sender/envelope)
  * Mireka - Mail server and SMTP proxy with detailed logging, statistics and
built-in, fail-fast filters

Features

  * Supports minimum SMTP specification described in rfc2821 (4.5.1)
  * Supports STARTTLS
  * Supports SMTP AUTH
  * Supports SMTP over SSL/TLS (via specification of server socket factories)
  * Uses builders for concise code and a discoverable API

I plan to maintain it within the pkg-java team. I do not require a sponsor.

  Description: C library and tools for interacting with the linux
GPIO character device

 libgpiod encapsulates the ioctl calls and data structures
 behind a straightforward API. This new character device
 interface guarantees all allocated resources are freed after
 closing the device file descriptor and adds several new
 features that are not present in the obsolete sysfs interface
 (like event polling, setting/reading multiple values at once or
 open-source and open-drain GPIOs).
 .
 libgpiod is under GNU LGPL-v2.1

Thanks, everything perfect.
(And sorry for the bogus spelling-error lintian message which I
caused myself.)

Excellent.
I've uploaded the package to the NEW queue.

Bug#884919: O: quagga -- network routing daemons (metapackage)

2017-12-21 Thread Scott Leggett
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the quagga package, as I no longer have the interest
or time required to keep the package in good shape.

Note that quagga has recently been forked upstream [0].

[0] https://lwn.net/Articles/718859/

The package description is:
 GNU Quagga is free software which manages TCP/IP based routing protocols.
 It supports BGP4, BGP4+, OSPFv2, OSPFv3, IS-IS, RIPv1, RIPv2, and RIPng as
 well as the IPv6 versions of these.
 .
 As the predecessor Zebra has been considered orphaned, the Quagga project
 has been formed by members of the zebra mailing list and the former
 zebra-pj project to continue developing.
 .
 Quagga uses threading if the kernel supports it, but can also run on
 kernels that do not support threading. Each protocol has its own daemon.
 .
 It is more than a routed replacement, it can be used as a Route Server and
 a Route Reflector.
 .
 This metapackage depends on the full suite of Quagga routing daemons.

Awesome! I tried doing this in [1], but the test suite didn't like me :(

Bug#884909: ITP: subethasmtp -- Java library for receiving SMTP mail

2017-12-21 Thread Christopher Hoskin
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Christopher Hoskin

* Package name: subethasmtp
  Version : 4.0
  Upstream Author : David Moten
* URL : https://github.com/davidmoten/subethasmtp
* License : Apache-2.0

  * An email2fax system

  * Supports STARTTLS
  * Supports SMTP AUTH
  * Supports SMTP over SSL/TLS (via specification of server socket factories)
  * Uses builders for concise code and a discoverable API

I plan to maintain it within the pkg-java team. I do not require a sponsor.

Bug#739293: RFP: dudle -- privacy-enhanced web-based event scheduling

2017-12-21 Thread Johannes Schauer
Control: retitle -1 ITP: dudle -- privacy-enhanced web-based event scheduling
Control: owner -1 jo...@debian.org

The project is now nearly 10 years old and still alive and kicking. I used to
have it installed on my server in the past but now I wanted to properly package
it for Debian. Especially the extensions make this software stand out from the
rest. I'm not aware of any other software that allows completely private polls
(nobody but you will get to know what you voted on) or polls where you encrypt
sign and encrypt your vote with GPG.

I'm done with the packaging (see attached) but I didn't upload yet because I'd
like upstream to make a new release beforehand. Their current release is three
years old and does not support newer ruby versions.

https://github.com/kellerben/dudle/issues/82

Atom feed support requires packaging of the ratom ruby gem. I asked for
membership in the pkg-ruby-extras team but packaging that is easy thanks to
gem2deb.

Thanks!

cheers, josch
