Bug#892291: RFP: libjs-strophe.jinglejs -- webrtc connection plugin for strophe.js
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: libjs-strophe.jinglejs Version : v0.2.3 Upstream Author : Klaus Herberth* URL : https://github.com/jsxc/strophe.jinglejs * License : MIT Programming Lang: JavaScript Description : webrtc connection plugin for strophe.js strophe.jinglejs is a webrtc connection plugin for strophe.js that uses jingle.js. Strophe is a popular library for writing XMPP client applications that run on any of the current popular browsers. Instead of the native TCP binding, strophe.js uses BOSH (Bidirectional-streams Over Synchronous HTTP, a variant of long polling) to connect to an XMPP server. Besides enabling anyone to build (federated) IM applications, this opens up the browser as an addressable endpoint for two-way exchange of structured messages, including presence and publish-subscribe applications. This plugin makes it possible to negotiate audio/video streams via XMPP and then relinquish control to the WebRTC support of browsers like Firefox and Chrome for the actual out-of-band media streams. XMPP/Jingle you get the authenticated, secured and federated media signaling, whereas WebRTC gives you an API to set up the media streams using RTP/ICE/STUN and provide access to cameras and microphones.

Bug#892287: RFP: python3-aioopenssl -- OpenSSL transport for asyncio
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: python3-aioopenssl Version : v0.3.1 Upstream Author : Jonas Wielicki* URL : https://github.com/horazont/aioopenssl * License : Apache Programming Lang: Python Description : OpenSSL transport for asyncio aioopenssl provides a asyncio Transport which uses PyOpenSSL instead of the built-in ssl module. The transport has two main advantages compared to the original: - The TLS handshake can be deferred by passing use_starttls=True and later calling the starttls() coroutine method. - This is useful for protocols with a STARTTLS feature. - A coroutine can be called during the TLS handshake; this can be used to defer the certificate check to a later point, allowing e.g. to get user feedback before the starttls() method returns. This allows to ask users for certificate trust without the application layer protocol interfering or starting to communicate with the unverified peer.

Bug#892284: ITP: ChromHMM -- Chromatin state discovery and characterization
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Debian Med Packaging TeamPackage name: chromhmm URL: http://compbio.mit.edu/ChromHMM/ License: GPL-3+ Description: Chromatin state discovery and characterization ChromHMM is software for learning and characterizing chromatin states. ChromHMM can integrate multiple chromatin datasets such as ChIP-seq data of various histone modifications to discover de novo the major re-occuring combinatorial and spatial patterns of marks. ChromHMM is based on a multivariate Hidden Markov Model that explicitly models the presence or absence of each chromatin mark. The resulting model can then be used to systematically annotate a genome in one or more cell types. By automatically computing state enrichments for large-scale functional and annotation datasets ChromHMM facilitates the biological characterization of each state. ChromHMM also produces files with genome-wide maps of chromatin state annotations that can be directly visualized in a genome browser. This package will be maintained by the Debian Med Packaging Team at: https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/chromhmm.git/
Bug#892283: RFP: python-pendulum -- Python datetimes made easy
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: python-pendulum Version : 1.4.2 Upstream Author : Sébastien Eustace* URL : https://pendulum.eustace.io/ * License : MIT Programming Lang: Python Description : Python datetimes made easy Native datetime instances are enough for basic cases but when you face more complex use-cases they often show limitations and are not so intuitive to work with. . Pendulum provides a cleaner and easier to use API while still relying on the standard library. So it's still datetime but better. . Unlike other datetime libraries for Python, Pendulum is a drop-in replacement for the standard datetime class (it inherits from it), so, basically, you can replace all your datetime instances by Pendulum instances in you code (exceptions exist for libraries that check the type of the objects by using the type function like sqlite3 or PyMySQL for instance). . It also removes the notion of naive datetimes: each Pendulum instance is timezone-aware and by default in UTC for ease of use. . Pendulum also improves timedelta by providing more intuitive methods and properties. See the documentation for more information.

Bug#620511: ITP: ipt-netflow -- netfilter target which sends traffic statistics via NetFlow
Hi Alexey and Dmitry, Alexey Osipov wrote on 02 Apr 2011: > Subject: ITP: ipt-netflow -- netfilter target which sends traffic > statistics via NetFlow Dmitry Yu Okunev wrote on 29 Nov 2014: > I've prepared the packages [1, 2] and I'm waiting for sponsor. > > [1] http://mentors.debian.net/package/ipt-netflow Any of you both still interested in maintaining ipt-netflow as package in Debian? If not, could you please publish your packaging work so far, so that others can build upon it? (Unfortunately mentors.debian.net only keeps packages for 3 months or so, i.e. the links above no more work.) I'd be happy to see this iptables plugin in Debian and would also review, sponsor and/or co-maintain it, if necessary. (Not sure if I'd maintain it alone, so not switching back to "ITP" for now.) P.S.: I just discovered ipt-netflow upstream a few days ago. Hence the late reply on this WNPP bug report. It's useful for launching applications directly into the same directory as the focused application - for instance, you might want to launch a new terminal in the same directory as your editor. Xcwd is, by the author's own admission, an ugly hack; however, it works with xterm(1) and urxvt(1), so it's still generally useful. In the absence of a proper way to get this information, it's probably better than nothing. In any case, I use it and would like to be able to apt install it rather than scping it everywhere. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: xcwd Source-Version: 0~1.gbp3f0728b-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of xcwd, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.
