Bug#893671: RFP: pubs -- command line bibliography management tool
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: pubs Version : 0.7.0 Upstream Author : Fabien Benureau, Olivier Mangin * URL : https://github.com/pubs/pubs * License : LGPL-3.0 Programming Lang: Python Description : command line bibliography management tool Pubs organizes your bibliographic documents together with the bibliographic data associated to them and provides command line access to basic and advanced manipulation of your library. Pubs is built with the following principles in mind: * all papers are referenced using unique citation keys, * bibliographic data (i.e. pure bibtex information) is kept separated from metadata (including links to pdf or tags), * everything is stored in plain text so it can be manually edited or version controlled. Pubs can also import/export to/from bibtex and supports fetching metdata from ISBN or DOI numbers. -- I tested this from pip and it looks really nice. Might be a viable alternative to the problems with packaging Zotero, although it is much less intuitive for non-commandline users... Its requirements: * beautifulsoup4 * bibtexparser * configobj * date-utils * pyyaml * requests * future * pyparsing * six * urllib3 * idna * chardet * certifi All of those seem available in Debian with reasonable versions, so no extra work required there. I do not plan on maintaining this just yet, just a heads up that this package exists and might be interesting to fellow journalists/academics. I'd be happy to help with sponsorship and this might better live in the python apps team.

Bug#893654: RFP: node-array-includes -- Array.prototype.includes shim/polyfill/replacement
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: node-array-includes Version : 3.0.3 Upstream Author : Jordan Harband * URL : https://github.com/ljharb/array-includes * License : MIT Programming Lang: Javascript Description : Array.prototype.includes shim/polyfill/replacement This package implements the es-shim API interface. It works in an ES3-supported environment and complies with the proposed spec. After building the package and reviewing the bugs, three things came to my mind: * This package is only a part of the full software upstream designed, there is only the CPP code and not the PHP portion. It is not really a big issue by itself, but the second point makes it one; * It got unmaintained by upstream. A fork[1,2], acknowledged by upstream exists, but it only provides support for the PHP part of the code, which is, as stated in my first point, inexistent in this package; * csstidy's departure from Debian won't impact any other packagei (only one package, universalindentgui, recommends it), as there is none that depend on it, and there seem to be too little interest in the package to have the current maintained PHP software repackaged to replace this one. Therefore, and unaccordingly to myself, I'm not in. The package description is: Lesscpy is a compiler written in Python for the lesscss language. It is very useful if node.js can't be installed in the environment. Not all features of lesscss are supported (yet). Some features wil probably never be supported (JavaScript evaluation). . This program uses PLY (Python Lex-Yacc) to tokenize/parse the input and is considerably slower than the nodejs compiler. . This package provides the Python 2.x module. This package was useful for the OpenStack dashboard (aka: Horizon), but we don't need it anymore, which is why I'm orphaning it. I would have asked for the package to be removed if it wasn't used in freeipa and prewikka. I started preparing it in git (without ahoy and orca), though: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/collada2gltf (experimental branch, without importing said snapshot yet) Or it simply should be removed given it has no r-deps?
