There are not so many changes and most of them are for debian/copyright

Bug#833397: RFP: commix -- Automated All-in-One OS Command Injection and Exploitation Tool

2018-05-14 Thread Samuel Henrique
I was going to package commix until i realized that it Depends on
metasploit-framework (at least the Kali package does).

This is a note for anyone wanting to package commix, you either have to
drop that dependency (which probably isn't doable) or package
metasploit-framework*.

* I will probably package metasploit-framework, if i succeed i'll package
commix too (if nobody steps ahead).

Bug#898667: O: pstotext -- Extract text from PostScript and PDF files

2018-05-14 Thread Jan Jeroným Zvánovec
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the pstotext package.

The package description is:
pstotext extracts text (in the ISO 8859-1 character set) from a PostScript
or PDF (Portable Document Format) file. Thus, pstotext is similar to the
ps2ascii program that comes with ghostscript. The output of pstotext is
however better than that of ps2ascii, because pstotext deals better with
 punctuation and ligatures.

There is no active upstream, last release was in 2004.

I no longer use the software regularly and recent grave bug #895513 [1]
touches security issues which should be sorted out by someone who is actually
proficient in PostScript.

Anyone considering adopting this package should also consider adopting
and reviving the upstream.

You're right pytest-sugar makes other changes so the output is more flashy.
I've added some more detail to the description.

Description: a different output style for py.test with a progress bar
Plugin to improve the look and feel of the py.test Python testing framework.
 .
Changes the py.test output to show a green tick for each passing test and a
red cross for test failures. A progress bar is displayed on the right of the
 console.
 .
 Test failures are shown immediately.

Sounds good, assuming the package contains only a progress bar. It
sounds like it contains more (or at least plans to) based on the name
