Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the acpid package.

The package description is:
Modern computers support the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI)
to allow intelligent power management on your system and to query battery and
 configuration status.
 .
ACPID is a completely flexible, totally extensible daemon for delivering
ACPI events. It listens on netlink interface (or on the deprecated file
/proc/acpi/event), and when an event occurs, executes programs to handle the
event. The programs it executes are configured through a set of configuration
files, which can be dropped into place by packages or by the admin.

Bug#934213: ounit adoption

2019-08-18 Thread Brett D
Hello,

I would like to commit to being the maintainer of the onuit package.
I am new to Debian, but I am a computer science undergrad and
understand the very basics of package
maintenance, UNIX-like infrastructure, and development practices.
Please let me know what further actions need be taken? I've already
read-up on the docs on the ocaml team page.

Thank you,
Brett Dispoto

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the acpi-support package.

The package description is:
This package contains scripts to react to various ACPI events. It only
includes scripts for events that can be supported with some level of
 safety cross platform.
 .
 It is able to:
  * Detect loss and gain of AC power, lid closure, and the press of a
number of specific buttons (on Asus, IBM, Lenovo, Panasonic, Sony
and Toshiba laptops).
  * Suspend, hibernate and resume the computer, with workarounds for
hardware that needs it.
  * On some laptops, set screen brightness.
 .
Besides some system tools acpi-support recommends vbetool to be able to power
off the screen and some screensavers to be able to lock the screen on lid
 close.

I lack the bandwidth to take care of this package and fortunately my systems
don't need it anymore.

Bug#935020: ITP: node-async-limiter -- limit concurrent asynchronous actions in flight

2019-08-18 Thread njoseph
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Joseph Nuthalapati
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-de...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: node-async-limiter
  Version : 1.0.1
  Upstream Author : Samuel Reed
* URL : https://github.com/strml/async-limiter#readme
* License : Expat
  Programming Lang: JavaScript
Description : A module for limiting concurrent asynchronous
  actions in flight.

This module exports a class Limiter that implements some of the Array
API. Pass async functions (ones that accept a callback or return a
promise) to an instance's additive array methods.
 .
Async Limiter is used by Node Websockets library (ws) which is a
dependency for thousands of NodeJS packages.
 .
 Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.

Async Limiter is a library with 27 dependents, most significant of which
is the websockets library (node-ws).

This is being packaged as part of the effort to bring the CryptPad
encrypted collaboration suite into Debian and the pure blend FreedomBox.
