I am the maintainer of capi4hylafax package. I orphan capi4hylafax
because there is a RC bug (problem with gcc 4.8) for which I have no
idea of a patch and now it threatened the removing from testing.

Maintaining a package requires time and skills. Please only adopt this
package if you will have enough time and attention to work on it.

If you want to be the new maintainer, please take the package.
See http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/index.html#howto-o for
detailed instructions how to properly adopt a package.

 If you have working capi20 interface, use this package to send and
 receive fax over capi. It can be used as a "fax-modem" for a
 hylafax-server or as stand alone version. Be sure you have a recent
 kernel with capi4linux compiled in.

 Please read /usr/share/doc/capi4hylafax/README.Debian to make things

Description: wxPython-based GUI construction framework (meta-package)
 PythonCard is a GUI construction framework for building cross-platform desktop
 applications on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, using the Python language. It
 is based on the wxPython bindings for the wxWidgets toolkit (formerly known
 as wxWindows).
 .
 This is a meta-package which is intended to be used by developers who want the
 entire upstream distribution available to them. Maintainers of other packages
 that rely on PythonCard functionality should consider depending on one or more
 of the related packages (python-pythoncard, pythoncard-tools) as needed instead
 of this meta-package.

Bug#921707: ITP: glowing-bear -- Web-based interface for WeeChat

2019-11-26 Thread Louis-Philippe Véronneau
Hi!

I use Glowing Bear and I would like to see it in Debian. From my
researches, the only real blocker seems to be angular JS being quite old
in Debian.

Glowing Bear works fine without being compiled or anything. Just pushing
the HTML files and patching the 3rd party things would be OK imho.

That means we wouldn't be able to run the testsuite, but hey, we can
work on that once it's been packaged :)

The latest GB version (0.7.2) needs:

Major bugs:

* libjs-angularjs 1.7.x (1.5 in Debian, 1.6.1 in experimental, see #859513)

Minor bugs:

* katex auto-render 0.5.1 (part of node-katex, but not currently built,
see #945556)

Working:

* libjs-bootstrap 3.3.x (3.4.1 in sid, might work)
* katex 0.5.1. (node-katex 0.8.3 in sid, might work)
* libjs-emojione 2.2.x (2.2.6 in sid seems ok)
* libjs-underscore 1.9.1 (in sid)
* libjs-favico.js 0.3.10 (in sid)

If things move on the angular side, I'd be happy to package this.

Bug#850541: s/Python 2/Python 3/

2019-11-26 Thread chrysn
With its Python 3 port merged[1], whipper will not depend on Python 2

I reviewed your package and I'd like to ask you to fix your pristine-tar
branch. As you can see here [1], the name of the files doesn't match the
source package name (mdectl != mdevctl), besides that the version in
your d/changelog is 0.50 [2] and in those files we have 0.50.0. I needed
to fix them manually to be able to successfully generate the upstream
tarball.

Apart from that it looks good to me.

If you want to move your git repo into 'debian' group in salsa [3] let
me know and I can create the project and grant you the appropriated
permissions. Usually I prefer to host non team maintained packages repos
in this group.

Let me know when you have the pristine-tar branch fixed and I'll be
happy to sponsor this package for you :)

Bug#945537: ITP: rnp -- high-performance C++ OpenPGP library

2019-11-26 Thread Daniel Kahn Gillmor
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Daniel Kahn Gillmor

* Package name: rnp
  Version : 0.12.0
  Upstream Author : Ronald Tse , Daniel Wyatt
, Nickolay Olshevsky , Krzysztof
Kwiatkowski
* URL : https://www.rnpgp.com/
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : high-performance C++ OpenPGP library

A set of portable OpenPGP (RFC4880) tools, derived originally from
NetPGP and dependent on Botan for cryptographic primitives.

"rnp" offers a command-line interface of comparable functionality to
GnuPG's gpg tool.

"librnp" offers a C library that exposes OpenPGP functionality.

Newer versions of Mozilla Thunderbird appear to be likely to
incorporate tooling from RNP for handling OpenPGP natively [0], so we
should have this available in debian directly.

Nice little package!

I can't sponsor it but I did a review and LGTM.

Is the repository staying under Christian's salsa account or moving to
the salsa.debian.org/debian namespace? If the package is moving there
the d/control file has to be updated accordingly.

Bug#945532: RFP: python-urllib-gssapi -- GSSAPI over HTTP Negotiate/SPNEGO support for urllib/urllib2

2019-11-26 Thread Sam Morris
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: python-urllib-gssapi
  Version : 1.0.1
* URL : https://github.com/pythongssapi/urllib-gssapi/
* License : Apache License 2.0
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : GSSAPI over HTTP Negotiate/SPNEGO support for urllib/urllib2

urllib_gssapi is a urllib backend for GSSAPI/SPNEGO authentication to
HTTP servers.

urllib_gssapi replaces urllib_kerberos, and behaves the same way - just
rename to HTTPSPNEGOAuthHandler.

The package enhances ansible, which relies on it in order to be able to
use Kerberos authentication when talking to web servers (e.g., a
FreeIPA server).

Oh, Gudjon pushed the update into unstable despite my request to hold
it off, thus making it impossible for TortoiseHg to come back.

The upstream package is being ported to Python 3 and reportedly works,
but I understand we need to keep it in Python 2 until Mercurial also
switches to Python 3 (also work in progress).

Bug#922565: ITA: tortoisehg -- Graphical tool for working with Mercurial

2019-11-26 Thread peter green

I notice after removal from unstable tortoisehg is back in new.

However it seems that the package still build-depends on python 2 packages. In
particular it depends on python-pyqt5.qsci which has been dropped by the
qscintilla2 source package and decrufted from bullseye/sid.

It seems to me that if this package is going to make a comeback it needs to
migrate to python 3.

(note: I am just a random dd who stubled across this package, the final
descision of course rests with the ftpmasters and release team).

2019-11-26 Thread Christian Ehrhardt
I'm fine to move it later but until that happens I made an initial
version available in my own salsa space at [1].

A build log (gz) of a test build of that in unstable as of today is
attached to this bug update.

I'm now looking for DD that is willing to review/sponsor this.

Glad to know someone needs it :)
I had started working on it some days ago. And it needs a couple of
packages to be in Debian first, namely:
  github.com/google/go-containerregistry
    code.cloudfoundry.org/bytefmt

That said, I'm working on it; shall take a couple of days but I hope to
get there eventually :)

container-diff is a tool for analyzing and comparing container

including:

 * Docker Image History

 * Image size
 * APT packages
 * RPM packages
 * pip packages

These analyses can be performed on a single image, or a diff can
be performed on two images to compare. The tool can help users
better understand what is changing inside their images, and give
them a better look at what their images contain.

2019-11-26 Thread Raphael Hertzog
Hello,

On Mon, 25 Nov 2019, Emmanuel Arias wrote:
> Yes, I will need sponsorship please :)

I sponsored the upload but the package was not 100% ready so I had to fix
a few things:

- it installed documentation in /usr/share/doc/pcapy/ in addition to
  /usr/share/doc/python3-pcapy/

- there was a lintian warning about syntax errors in copyright file

- I saw upstream tests so I added them as autopkgtest

- the last 3 changelog entries have never been uploaded so I merged the 3
  entries into 0.11.4-1

- you missed "Closes: #xxx" tags for two bugs
