Thanks for your contribution, I've created this repository and import your
commits in the pkg-security team.

I didn't see any issues, but one thing to be aware of that someone
also wrote a manpage of dnstwist and sent the PR to the upstream.

 pyscrypt is a very simple, pure-Python implementation
 of the scrypt password-based key derivation function
 and scrypt file format libraries.

This package is (transitively) needed by etesync-dav.

I plan to maintain this package myself, keeping debianization in
following Git repository:

* Package name: python-nest-asyncio
  Version : 1.2.0
  Upstream Author : Ewald R. de Wit
* URL : https://github.com/erdewit/nest_asyncio
* License : BSD-2-clause
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Patch asyncio to allow nested event loops

 By design asyncio does not allow its event loop to be nested. This
 presents a practical problem: When in an environment where the event
 loop is already running it's impossible to run tasks and wait for the
 result. This module patches asyncio to allow nested use of asyncio.run
 and loop.run_until_complete.

This package is a dependency for updating the existing qiskit-terra
package to its newest version. The intent is to maintain this package
under the umbrella of the Debian Python Modules Team.

Subject: ITP: arcp -- (Archive and Package) URI parser and generator
Package: wnpp
Owner: Debian Med team
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: arcp
  Version : 0.2.0
  Upstream Author : Stian Soiland-Reyes
* URL : http://arcp.readthedocs.io/
* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Language: Python
  Description : (Archive and Package) URI parser and generator

 arcp provides functions for creating arcp URIs,
 which can be used for identifying or parsing hypermedia
 files packaged in an archive or package, like a ZIP file.
 .
 arcp URIs can be used to consume or reference hypermedia resources
 bundled inside a file archive or an application package, as well as
 to resolve URIs for archive resources within a programmatic framework.
 .
 This URI scheme provides mechanisms to generate a unique base URI
 to represent the root of the archive, so that relative URI references
 in a bundled resource can be resolved within the archive without having to
 extract the archive content on the local file system.
 .
 An arcp URI can be used for purposes of isolation (e.g. when consuming
 multiple archives), security constraints (avoiding “climb out” from the
 archive), or for externally identiyfing sub-resources referenced by
 hypermedia formats.
 .
 Examples:
  - ``arcp://uuid,32a423d6-52ab-47e3-a9cd-54f418a48571/doc.html``
  - ``arcp://uuid,b7749d0b-0e47-5fc4-999d-f154abe68065/pics/``
  - ``arcp://ni,sha-256;F-34D4TUeOfG0selz7REKRDo4XePkewPeQYtjL3vQs0/``
  - ``arcp://name,gallery.example.org/``
 .
 The different forms of URI authority_ in arcp URIs can be used depending
 on which uniqueness constraints to apply when addressing an archive.
 See the arcp specification
 (https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-soilandreyes-arcp-02) for details.
 .
 Note that this library only provides mechanisms to
  *generate* and *parse* arcp URIs, and do *not* integrate with any
 particular archive or URL handling modules like
 "zipfile" or "urllib.request".

Needed for latest cwltool. Will be team-maintained by Debian Med

I also jsut wanted to start work on a yq package for Debian. I think a month
later it is ok for you to setyourself as the owner of this ITP bug and take
over the packaging.

Please, if you start working, do so in a repository on salsa.debian.org. I
will happily mentor you and if that goes well sponsor your upload.

Hello!

I'd like to find new maintainers for some of my packages because I have
had less time for Debian. I'd like to focus the small amount of time
that I have for Debian on other things.

For now, I intend to do my best to keep maintaining this package.
However, I will probably retitle this bug with the 'O:' prefix at some
point, indicating that I have orphaned it.

Feel free to upload a new version of the package and remove me from the
uploaders in debian/control.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. Also note that I always
willing to sponsor uploads!

Cheers,

Bug#954870: ITP: r-cran-fingerprint -- GNU R functions to operate on binary fingerprint data

2020-03-24 Thread Andreas Tille
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Subject: ITP: r-cran-fingerprint -- GNU R functions to operate on binary
fingerprint data
Package: wnpp
Owner: Andreas Tille
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: r-cran-fingerprint
  Version : 3.5.7
  Upstream Author : Rajarshi Guha
* URL : https://cran.r-project.org/package=fingerprint
* License : GPL-2
  Programming Lang: GNU R
  Description : GNU R functions to operate on binary fingerprint data
 Functions to manipulate binary fingerprints of arbitrary length. A
 fingerprint is represented by an object of S4 class 'fingerprint' which
 is internally represented a vector of integers, such that each element
 represents the position in the fingerprint that is set to 1. The bitwise
 logical functions in R are overridden so that they can be used directly
 with 'fingerprint' objects. A number of distance metrics are also
 available (many contributed by Michael Fadock). Fingerprints can be
 converted to Euclidean vectors (i.e., points on the unit hypersphere)
 and can also be folded using OR. Arbitrary fingerprint formats can be
 handled via line handlers. Currently handlers are provided for CDK, MOE
 and BCI fingerprint data.

2020-03-24 Thread Stephan Lachnit
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Stephan Lachnit

  Package name: setzer
  Version : >0.2.1
  Upstream Author : cvfosa
  URL : https://github.com/cvfosa/Setzer
  License : GPL3+
  Programming Lang: Python with Gtk
  Description : Simple yet full-featured LaTeX editor

Setzer is a LaTeX with very high content-per-window-size ratio, and has a very
clean Gtk interface. It also features side bars with a lot of symbols commonly
used in mathmode, so one doesn't have to look up the name in the internet, and
features spell checking.

The latest release doesn't have an install system yet (local only), but I wired
up some basic meson support, which was merged into master. Still some things to
do, but once that's done it can be easily build in Debian.

Could be maintained with the Debian TeX team if someone is interested there,
otherwise I'll maintain it myself.

Best Regards
Stephan

Bug#954844: ITP: mangohud -- An overlay for monitoring FPS, temperatures, and more

2020-03-24 Thread Stephan Lachnit
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Stephan Lachnit

  Package name: mangohud
  Version : >0.3.1
  Upstream Author : flightlessmango
  URL : https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud
  License : MIT
  Programming Lang: C, C++
  Description : An overlay for monitoring FPS, temperatures, and more

A modification of the Mesa Vulkan overlay. Including GUI improvements,
temperature reporting, and logging capabilities. Helpful to analyze performance
in games (works under OpenGL as well).

Building under Debian should works, current version has no release tarball with
the git submodules included, so I'll wait for the next release before starting
a repo on salsa. More on this topic here:
https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud/issues/34

It would be possible to release this under the Debian Games Team, if anyone
there is interested, otherwise I'll maintain it myself.

Best Regards
Stephan

Bug#954848: ITP: r-bioc-pwmenrich -- PWM enrichment analysis

2020-03-24 Thread Andreas Tille
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Subject: ITP: r-bioc-pwmenrich -- PWM enrichment analysis
Package: wnpp
Owner: Andreas Tille
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: r-bioc-pwmenrich
  Version : 4.22.0
  Upstream Author : Robert Stojnic, Diego Diez
* URL : https://bioconductor.org/packages/PWMEnrich/
* License : LGPL-2+
  Programming Lang: GNU R
  Description : PWM enrichment analysis
 A toolkit of high-level functions for DNA motif scanning
 and enrichment analysis built upon Biostrings. The main
 functionality is PWM enrichment analysis of already known PWMs
 (e.g. from databases such as MotifDb), but the package also
 implements high-level functions for PWM scanning and
 visualisation. The package does not perform "de novo" motif
 discovery, but is instead focused on using motifs that are
 either experimentally derived or computationally constructed by
 other tools.

Remark: This package is maintained by Debian R Packages Maintainers at
   https://salsa.debian.org/r-pkg-team/r-bioc-pwmenrich

  Description : tool for debugging events on a Wayland window

This is a tool for debugging events on a Wayland window, analagous to
the X11 tool xev.
I plan to maintain this package in the swaywm team.

Bug#856179: ITP: polybar -- fast and easy-to-use status bar

2020-03-24 Thread Patrick Ziegler
Hi,
I'm the one Samuel talked to on the linked issue. I wanted to quickly
chime in to give the viewpoint of the polybar team and explain our
priorities on the sample config.

While I did express interest in auto-generating config files, this is
not a priority right now (and it likely won't be for a while). I also
don't see a good way to do this in the current codebase without
duplicating a lot of logic around what options a module supports.
So I encourage you not to go with option D.

I think C is a good option to go for even in the long-term, but
unfortunately it is also the one that will give you the most work,
Samuel, because you need to create a generic config.
I would do it for you, but unfortunately I really don't have the time
right now.
This still doesn't really solve the font issue, I would suggest either
trying to create a config without using any fancy font icons and using
ASCII characters only, this would almost guarantee that the bar displays
correctly for everyone.
Otherwise you're not getting around some icon or emoji font. I see that
debian has a package named `fonts-font-awesome` that seems to be
providing FontAwesome4 which is very popular and could well be used for
such a config. I would also suggest using `ttf-unifont` which has a good
coverage of the first two unicode planes.

Another option would also be to not ship any config at all.

If you need any help feel free to reach out.

Regards,

Patrick
