Bug#365427: [O: apt-build] Is this package worth adopting or has it been replaced?

There's nothing like it so far AFAIK. apt-src is close, but has a different focus (modification instead of compile-time optimization). > I read the entire bug message history and saw that in 2016 there was some > development going on to replace the package. I don't see which message you mean. In 2016, there were only control messages and spam in this bug report. Is this package worth adopting or has it been replaced by something else? I read the entire bug message history and saw that in 2016 there was some development going on to replace the package. Has that already been done? If so, then I presume there is no point in adopting this package.
