I cannot remove you, you will need to do that yourself.

Most likely (but check the email headers of the previous email) you
received it through a subscription to the Debian JavaScript team
mailinglist.

Kind regards,

Bug#1051352: ITP: shedskin -- Python-to-C++ compiler designed to speed up Python programs

2023-09-06 Thread Paul Boddie
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Paul Boddie

* Package name: shedskin
  Version : 0.9.7
  Upstream Author : Mark Dufour
* URL : https://shedskin.github.io/
* License : GPL-3+
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Python-to-C++ compiler designed to speed up Python programs

Shed Skin converts programs written in a static subset of Python to C++.
The C++ code can be compiled to executable code, which can be run either
as a standalone program or as a module imported from Python.

This package was previously included in Debian but was discarded when Python
2 ceased to be supported for most areas of distribution functionality. This
software has since been updated to run using Python 3.

Previously, I found a sponsor for the package via the Debian Mentors
service. It might make sense to maintain this new package within the Debian
Python team, and much of the packaging has been done according to their
packaging standards.

  Description : Parsing library that can translate expressions to a

A human-friendly, context-aware duration parsing library that can translate
expressions like '1 hour' into a timedelta object. The context-aware aspect
arises from its ability to parse durations in months or years while considering
the current date (i.e., context) as the starting point for calculating the
delta.

 - This package it's a dependency for pytest-executable.
 - I plan maintain this package inside the python team.

X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-r...@lists.debian.org,

* Description : Gettext helper for Rust crates

xtr is a tool for extracting strings from a Rust crate, for further processing
i18n flows. It is similar to GNU's xgettext, and can extract strings annotated
using the tr macro from its sibling crate 'tr', but also supports other gettext
based localisation crates such as gettext-rs, gettext, rocket_i18n.

The package will be maintained under the Debian Rust team umbrella in
debcargo-conf.
