Bug#758454: ITA: socnetv -- social network analysis and visualisation application
On 31/08/14 02:28 PM, Serafeim Zanikolas wrote: Hi Caitlin, Thanks for your work, it looks great! Processing triggers for menu (2.1.47) ... Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/pbuilder/result/socnetv_1.3+dfsg-1_i386.deb It took me forever to figure this out, and it was the most ridiculous error. The error message is quite misleading. I had created socnetv.doc-base without noticing the existing doc-base. One was installed, then when dpkg tried to process the second one, it found a conflict. A few other points: - base off your release against the current version in unstable (0.90-3.1) and acknowledge it according to devref 5.11.4 Done. I also altered my part of the changelog, and closed the bug manually. - debian/rules: drop commented-out entry for override_dh_compress Done. Oops. - debian/changelog: merge the 1.2+dfsg-1 1.3+dfsg-1 entries (since the former never got uploaded to sid) Done. - explain to upstream (Dimitris in CC) why we're chopping off their tarball with respect to non-free pdf, and what they can do about it CC'd you in separate e-mail. - fix lintian warning debian-watch-file-should-dversionmangle-not-uversionmangle This is an ongoing issue, and the warning is going to be dropped. I have uploaded an updated version of socnetv to mentors.[1] I would appreciate it if you had a look and sponsored my first upload. The package description is: SocNetV is a graphical application designed to be an easy tool for Social Networks Analysis and Visualisation (not to be confused with social networking, as in online communities). With it, one can load and visualise networks of various formats (GraphViz, Adjacency, Pajek, etc), and/or visually create and modify a network in a point and click fashion. . The program can also compute network statistics and properties (such as distances, centralities, diameter) and apply some layout algorithms for more meaningful visualisation of your networks. Furthermore, socnetv can create simple random networks (lattice, same degree, etc). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#757877: RFP: node-uglify2 -- JavaScript parser, minifier, compressor and beautifier toolkit
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: node-uglifyjs2 Version : 2.4.15 Upstream Author : Mihai Bazon mihai.ba...@gmail.com * URL : https://github.com/mishoo/UglifyJS2 * License : BSD Programming Lang: JS Description : JavaScript parser, minifier, compressor and beautifier toolkit From the UglifyJS (version 1.x) README: I started working on UglifyJS’s successor, version 2. It’s almost a full rewrite (except for the parser which is heavily modified, everything else starts from scratch). I’ve detailed my reasons in the README, see the project page. ... Version 1 will continue to be maintained for fixing show-stopper bugs, but no new features should be expected. It sounds like UglifyJS2 should be created as a new package instead of updating the current node-uglify. Note that UglifyJS2 is required for ruby-uglifier. Right now, ruby-uglifier contains an embedded version of uglify 2.4.15, which violates policy 4.13 (Convenience copies of code). Bug#756549: ITA: ntfs-3g -- read/write NTFS driver for FUSE
I am adopting ntfs-3g. I have a question, though. I realize you were using a git repo on your own server, not in alioth or elsewhere. However, that repo has disappeared. Do you still have a copy? It's not necessary, but it's always nice to have history. Caitlin -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#743829: ITA: attic -- deduplicating backup program
Hi, I would like to adopt attic. This is going to be my first official package. I have built small packages from scratch and many backports and PPAs, but they have always been local. Therefore, I definitely need a sponsor, and may need a bit of help/mentoring at first. Hope that's OK! Caitlin
