Using this implementation avoids reinventing thread-local semantics in your own code. . Global variables are often not thread-safe and encourage poor programming style. In many cases it is desirable to have thread-local state, but implementing this directly in Ruby is unpleasant. This gem provides a best-practice wrapper which can extend existing classes to provide per-thread instances. . Conceptually, a thread is a container for application state. This works well when servers consider applications to be isolated on a per-thread basis, but this isn't always the case: This is a new dependency of ruby-async-http and necessary to update this package to fix #995354. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- iQIzBAEBCgAdFiEEvu1N7VVEpMA+KD3HS80FZ8KW0F0FAmGqlgoACgkQS80FZ8KW 0F0vvxAAgy1bTR4g7pHBb8KqIwGRcouUYzFfSakiEqflJkxxHBOtbq4iHBOfWx/c RKAl0CnFeEd+XVAMCvPIOziTlYLUJOubzIPRIRkHQYEas19mX5/LbT1SFgeQPuL5 iRaaW45oGiUOCLdGWniuQTE4wP6VjJjowU23YWqwdLCk+hQSUZmBrpJtA+IZmVSR 2tOL7vkGAIR1FhRxppy85D+Q1U/kgNUh8LYRaNHWvgQoie4u2dyWro6+UuYpvNRN fTNF+oLqPUqcYYVq7l5rbWUDW+E2VgWyRE9aUKomJwVSgK+N8Yyc25aPhppuzapK MjLpuRNgAo0fpAw+J0Bh4Bu+Ly75FUvhqPJkxpgquYJxtJIQVkwpPf4Td1hDI+Ht 0k56r+GJ55BPCofUkwecbXNPt5bek4s881Pz1TNsXjd9R6omgNQFp3eXb/frAhMv TbtTyONoNGSruLtXT/4yr5d4Ks0HkfEy+vtVYKxsmsChkLnagEsF8OSbi/cpfRd0 1uG40RQGq+heLzjnpOS/1llrw3OlpqvglMCQz6KFooK+LQh83WuHl37j/zcJVYDe x+6f/rc8Hl62gTaEhnrD1yblfxHOQa5ebaT3nsU1Hz5VoI+pf5D3CpTX4F0uYypk vXR4xHifz6NGN0+Bo8Sw5NbqWnpD+zPoVj7XT7t0+BzLkB688ng= =PCUC -END PGP SIGNATURE-

Hi, after I've read Matijs' comment I checked if we can use some more recent (and maybe already packaged) unidecoder gem. It seems to me that jekyll-import (again) does not use the gem at all. I cannot find any reference to decode() or the Unidecoder module. Maybe we don't need it at all? Regards, Daniel signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part

And, if necessary, one should be able to trace this program's detection of HTML errors back to documented best practices or standards, such as W3 specifications. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- iQIzBAEBCgAdFiEEvu1N7VVEpMA+KD3HS80FZ8KW0F0FAly+MtkACgkQS80FZ8KW 0F1IYg/+Puol3kff1iB8v2wp5lIK+czYPYiGjqYmLoTyHzadYr3p/bT1pqAHng61 BUNS2YlJAW3iPxD+jML/JChfXRY1Baou8RJRshNFbY2A7tWwSn6mHLzHyX5T+es2 kXKHV8x9cD9JgcjFMQf6Zm2yG6bn9u0v3rpeK9s4a+5iIRpyvDfl0ChBw7ghLYmi osgkl15k7zkKbfCEuvtcpu00hX2tkad/4LCANfoAZpRf77GTM73xN2hF1P4fb8gQ MTzoQFPwaWC6tVe05rNrWaK6K7Czlmj8xeh77wLfWw6hBjI3wg5ohu5gLZ6fok7Q 2p6IpOuizC0+W0PNG1Ai4Kqj5tpUyD8T1PDAVNZ2zak+A2o5lQIeCPhbjJ+x9kyd PKhoku4YNhWcQNsE+gxHYa4F65RwAiARaS1rkcDQ8zxFCim05FGJbvWfJjUYW/NO tYOTTVo+UP3ysivZHd8tLlWhFmOzZS2mASyJGG1JauKYyyjeysOcNJ2KaDbszLgS DPDJUkmvuKV3yIfXHtzy6cdtp/v1fhe5Y9MBLAqmFB8PsrY1SnwYzQXMsAfjb6Ae WKksQ0RD+nrKt176qC84SbeFFWGBbv5XtpvEAxSKLTAZP6ox05+D+6xBDUIbLywe xoLtzrE0EvgoWM5S8FUnD73xHoFj/nIWmlao6dqBcItaU5XK23g= =zjER -END PGP SIGNATURE-

Bug#814867: [Debichem-devel] InChI license

I'll see what I can do about packaging this library. The main issue with this software is, that if you modify it, you must not refer to the output as InChI (license item no. 15). This itself can break unrelated software relying on the library output and it would require maybe rather large changes as soon as you apply a patch to the source. The second large issue is, that the InChi-FAQ itself says, that the library ist not modifiable (even if the license itself says differently). One should really talk to the InChi-Trust people to put the library back under plain LGPL and find a different solution for whatever the problem is. It is neither the first nor the only library playing a normative role or implementing an algorithm. I don't feel comfortable with this license and I fear, the FTP masters won't be comfortable too. https://people.debian.org/~bap/dfsg-faq.html#interface https://www.inchi-trust.org/technical-faq/#3.2 https://www.inchi-trust.org/download/104/LICENCE.pdf Regards, Daniel

Bug#887145: RFA: bluefish -- advanced Gtk+ text editor for web and software development
Package: wnpp Severity: normal -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA512 I request an adopter for the bluefish package. I've happily maintained it for around 12 years. Now I'm rarely using it and package management lacks behind. This package deserves better. It is usually a low maintenance package and has an active and responsive upstream. The packaging and backporting files for Debian are currently located in the upstream subversion repository at sourceforge.net. Bugs are tracked with GNOME bugzilla. Backporting is done as a service to Debian users and requires a few changes to the default packaging files, so there are different branches for the packaging files. I tried to keep the differences as small as possible. If you have any questions, please ask. Regards, Daniel The package description is: Bluefish is a powerful editor targeted towards programmers and web developers, with many options to write websites, scripts and programming code. Bluefish supports a wide variety of programming and markup languages and has many features, e.g. . - Customizable code folding, auto indenting and completion - Support for remote files operation over FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, WebDAV, etc. - Site upload and download - Powerful search and replace engine - Customizable integration of external programs such as lint, make, etc - Snippets plugin to automate often used code - Code-aware in-line spell checking - Zencoding or Emmet support - Bookmarks panel . but is still lightweight and fast. . For validation of CSS/HTML/XML documents you need csstidy, tidy, weblint and/or xmllint. For preview to work, you need a web browser that can view local files given to it on the command line. For PHP or Python bluefish supports php-codesniffer and pylint. Tools not suggested but supported are make, perl, php5-cli and java-compiler. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- iQIzBAEBCgAdFiEEvu1N7VVEpMA+KD3HS80FZ8KW0F0FAlpbXVwACgkQS80FZ8KW 0F08EBAA2vR7vjo5fYp8NRR/jQ5qxiZjGhjHIdbrzrctclPzyB3whZD9C2rIPkOr rQGBOSn3HmUmwrFn8ckwFKlSrAYY8s2FM2tZO50HAn2CXLaJpMTxiiEWwxxEKN07 IaM3jRAAR8T3tD6+H/6RMl+0fQuouR+YIkaYCMqwJjpZNjBSHE9qtqUQcUXP+dP4 WpDTJw6K/RJpLCnli0hwkZgzqpi4YVpZJ+YRX1bJQYiifWLxOeG0nWlnkHAZlH2E 1uOhfIiv24FVTC3FoYSLP72befhJvupoJKzknhXCKW+ig73fPqGeZhIF2LqHj/vr b+5M7mShsGby/h+On+LcinQJzGCuOC9ahbDClx62UTTXnPCpbvaY3JJZNVJVFfit qww5ga/GPLd/ZmSWdwpzqHY0yuFCkTzTcukhV9YNDcgp98PL4s3UkF4r/qRW14At p81GtbjMYj+6sygCjGWbkv3TGgdiMIMjozhxYjjcZ2BdjtehrVhSJauydnIPNk3o a3anPyQHL+jPh6I7ldgsVmVHaUEQgja/S2fZvCt9oH3CPWZGknvhMC2MDwHSuxuT 9EjKF997FXJQ4PmHHXEJBjtqSua/7hYvveqSJzltIbzbl09ngtdW5qqOV9GXmYOq qcadzhzE+k3XrCgN2hDS/tQ/4IApu4keHBREz8/Af2CpdzQ+G/I= =ekAT -END PGP SIGNATURE-

Thus the package needs to be updated, whenever a new version is released. Usually there is not much to do. If you are interested in this standard, then this is probably a package of interest. The user base will grow whenever people or packages move from v4 to DocBook5. There are a few open bug reports about the upgrade stylesheet from DB4 to DB5. The upstream version however might already contain fixes. The package description is: standard XML documentation system for software and systems DocBook 5 is a general purpose XML schema. That is, it contains the "DocBook" document structure. This is used by authors or editors writing documents in the DocBook XML format. DocBook was designed for books, articles, or reference documentation about technical matters or software (though it is by no means limited to these applications). It has emerged as an open standard in the software industry, and is the documentation system of choice for many free software projects. . DocBook 5.0 is a complete rewrite of the well-known DocBook 4 XML schema/DTD, introducing a quite large number of backwards-incompatible changes. But the basic idea behind DocBook is still the same, and almost all element names are unchanged. . This package contains the XML RelaxNG schema (with some additional Schematron assertions), W3C XML Schema (XSD) as well as the Document Type Definition (DTD) for DocBook, which all describe the formal structure for documents following this format. . Bug#660687: I'd like to help on xml-core package

Every package update re-installs all entries to /etc/xml/catalog and /etc/xml/$package.xml. But this is a policy violation. Changes done to the above files are not preserved. Further we create and manipulate the system catalog by a self-written tool. IMO the rewrite must finish in - shipping the /etc/xml/$package.xml file instead of creating it (so dh_installxmlcatalogs will simply put a file into etc/xml/) - and registering it with the system catalog by the nextCatalog entry instead of putting delegate* entries in the system catalog directly (this should be done in a way, that is compatible with using the xmlcatalog tool from libxml) - if a user decides he wants to unregister a catalog, he can simply remove the relevant nextCatalog [1] entry in /etc/xml/catalog - and this change must be preserved during package updates. [1] https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/entity/spec-2001-08-06.html#s.nextcatalog > How do you want to proceed? Do you want me to work directly on the svn > or post patches on BTS that you would integrate to the package? You can decide yourself. If you want write access, you need to register an account at http://alioth.debian.org and apply for access to the debian-xml-sgml project. If you don't want that, you can start by sending patches. Bug#706711: NMU: Upload of openmx 3.7.6-0.1 to DELAYED/15

I'm currently discussing the whole situation with James Clark. One of the ideas is to use the subversion source, which contains the build system (and works pretty nice BTW, with ant and java-gcj-compat-dev or SUN Java 6). I'm in favour of writing a source-dist target and the resulting tarball could be distributed too. Let's wait for the results of the discussion (I will summarize later for everybody interested). He told me, that using GCJ has some issues. This should be checked. Two packages are necessary but are not yet available: testng (ITP #465326) and iso-relax (iso-relax.sf.net). > > If you want to maintain this package, please simply take over the > > ITP/ITA. > > I'm not a DD. Bug#464531: ITP/ITA: jing/trang
It looks a bit difficult to package jing/trang as the zip-archives just contain the Java source files. Seems, the old trang package shipped a self-written build system. I have to examine this further and also sent a mail to the author. If you want to maintain this package, please simply take over the ITP/ITA. Bug#490716: ITP: docbook5 -- DocBook V5.0 is the official Committee Draft release of DocBook V5.0
owner 490716 ! retitle 490716 ITP: docbook5 -- DocBook V5.0 is the official Committee Draft release of DocBook V5.0 thanks I will package this asap as part of the Debian XML/SGML team. The catalog issue is probably not that difficult to solve. Regards, Daniel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#499749: ITA: xml-resume-library -- A set of tools for writing a resume in XML
JFTR: I got access to the upstream VCS and integrated most patches applied to the Debian package. I plan to officially release a new upstream version including the patches and probably also some bug-fixes based on the reports in the upstream trackers. Bug#428750: ITP: drawxtl -- display crystal structures on ordinary computer hardware
With the next version (probably 5.4), upstream will clarify some licensing information for a few files. Packaging will probably be delayed for this. Therefore, I orphan this package now. We already maintained it in the past and will adopt it then officially. Regards, Daniel -- Pt! Schon vom neuen GMX MultiMessenger gehört? I don't have any ideas yet about netscape.jar netscape.jar was in the old netscape* packages in woody: http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2005/03/13/debian/pool/non-free/n/netscape4.77/ And as you can see, it was a non-free package. PS: I have access to the Jmol VCS. If you want me to incorporate changes to the build system, which are AFAIK necessary, I can do this. Egon Willighagen probably can help too coordinating the necessary changes with upstream.
