it came to my attention ninka has been packaged for Debian and
uploaded to the NEW queue, pending approval by the FTP Team, so it
won't enter Debian archive before their check.

If I remember correctly, there were some pending license issues with
portions of code, but I cannot remember which ones exactly (keyword
database?). Could you please shed a light on this?

I noticed your package python-sh has been uploaded to NEW.

python-sh supersedes pbs, which has been available in the archive for
quite some time. I'm also sending this mail to Nick, maintainer of pbs
package, to discuss about how to proceed from this point.

I don't think pbs should be kept in the archive anymore if python-sh
is accepted, so I think transitional packages for python-pbs and
python3-pbs should be built by python-sh to allow for upgrades from
pbs packages.

This could be a good occasion to see if Nick is willing to act as
co-maintainer of python-sh, if both parties agree.

Liblarch is a Python module created to easily handle data structure such
as lists, trees and directed acyclic graphs (tree where nodes can have
multiple parents).
Liblarch supports multiple views of one data structure and complex
filtering. That way, you have a clear separation between your data
(Model) and how they are displayed (View).
This is A GTK binding that will allow you to use your data structure
into a Gtk Treeview.

  this make it to a distro.  Most importantly, I would like this and
  the above-stated functionality to be available.  If grdc can do
  these things, I have no objection whatsoever to removing tsclient.

 Packaging ubuntu-dev-tools requires packaging some dependencies first:
 - python-launchpadlib (Launchpad web services client library)
 - python-wadllib (Python library for navigating WADL files)
 - python-httplib2 (HTTP client library ; currently packaged but
 outdated in Debian)

I've just ITAed python-httplib2, I could eventually provide ITPs for
the missing dependencies.

SCons code is precious and I can help out with packaging and random

We can set up a team and a repository, both Alioth + SVN or Launchpad +
bzr can go. I'm more confident with the latter because Ubuntu does wide
use of it to manage projects, but the former is ok too.
