Bug#849714: RFS: guerillabackup/1.0-1 [ITP] -- resilient, distributed backup and archiving solution

2019-08-22 Thread halfdog
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "guerillabackup". I
have updated the Salsa repository to build on Debian Bullseye
also removing mentors.debian.net lintian warnings on old versions.
I have tested the package on Bullseye machines.

 * Package name: guerillabackup
   Version : 0.0.1-1
   Upstream Author : m...@halfdog.net
 * URL : https://github.com/halfdog/guerillabackup
 * License : LGPL-3.0+
 * Vcs : https://salsa.debian.org/halfdog-guest/guerillabackup
   Section : misc

It builds those binary packages:

  guerillabackup - resilient, distributed backup and archiving solution

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/guerillabackup

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/guerillabackup/guerillabackup_0.0.1-1.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

   * Initial packaging of guerillabackup (Closes: #849714)

Regards,
  hd

Bug#849714: ITP: guerillabackup: packaging v0.0.1

2018-07-20 Thread halfdog
Version v0.0.0 as indicated in initial ITP is obsolete. As discussed
on #debian-mentors IRC, continuing with the same ITP bug should
be OK. Packaging data was moved to salsa, gbp seems to work without
problems. To build and review the package, following commands work:

gbp clone --debian-branch debian/sid --upstream-branch upstream
https://salsa.debian.org/halfdog-guest/guerillabackup.git
cd guerillabackup
git config user.email "your mail"
git config user.name "your name"
git checkout debian/sid
gbp buildpackage --git-pbuilder --git-pbuilder-options=--source-only-changes
--unsigned-source --unsigned-changes

Bug#849714: guerillabackup -- resilient, distributed backup and archiving solution

2016-12-29 Thread halfdog
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Package name: guerillabackup
Version: 0.0.0
Upstream Author: halfdog <m...@halfdog.net>
URL: https://github.com/halfdog/guerillabackup
Sources URL: https://github.com/halfdog/guerillabackup.git
License: LGPLv3
Programming Lang: Python
Description: guerillabackup supports backup generation and transfer
  especially in non-standard environments like on private equipment.
Dependencies: python

Long description:
 The tool supports asynchronous, local-coordinated, distributed
 secure backup generation, forwarding, verification, storage
 and deletion even in rugged environments. The system is open
 to integration of own code. The codebase is very small and
 kept simple to ease auditing.
 .
 Unlike business backup solutions, guerillabackup also considers
 following conditions that might be encountered with private use:
 * infrastructure uptime below 99%, e.g. machines not always powered
 * poor network connectivity, e.g. mobile access, parallel video
   streaming
 * poor physical access and anti-theft protection of machines
 * no security monitoring of machines
 .
 See /usr/share/doc/guerillabackup/Design.txt section "Requirements"
 for more information.

After receiving the wnpp bug issue number and adding it to
debian/changelog, final package will be available at
