Bug#533715: gens-gs package
Hello, I had a quick look at gens that I'd love to package for wheezy+1 too. * Per Andersson avtob...@gmail.com [120701 12:30]: Basically I am looking into licensing issues. Part of Gens/GS (starscream) seems to be non-free. FTR: Starscream may be distributed freely in unmodified form, as long as this documentation is included. No money, goods, or services may be charged or solicited for Starscream, or any emulator or other program which includes Starscream, in whole or in part. Using Starscream in a shareware or commercial application is forbidden. Contact Neill Corlett (corl...@elwha.nrrc.ncsu.edu) if you'd like to license Starscream for commercial use. Any program which uses Starscream must include the following credit text, in its documentation or in the program itself: Starscream 680x0 emulation library by Neill Corlett (corl...@elwha.nrrc.ncsu.edu) So, that's against DFSG #6, but nothing makes it undistributable in non-free I believe. -- Etienne Millon -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#533715: gens-gs: changing back from ITP to RFP
retitle 533715 RFP: gens-gs -- Sega Genesis / Sega CD / Sega 32X emulator noowner 533715 thanks Hi, This is an automatic email to change the status of gens-gs back from ITP (Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen any activity during the last 6 months. If you are still interested in adopting gens-gs, please send a mail to cont...@bugs.debian.org with: retitle 533715 ITP: gens-gs -- Sega Genesis / Sega CD / Sega 32X emulator owner 533715 ! thanks However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITP from time to time, by mailing 533...@bugs.debian.org. Bug#533715: RFP: gens-gs -- Sega Genesis / Sega CD / Sega 32X emulator
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: gens-gs Version : Milestone 6 Upstream Author : David Korth * URL : http://info.sonicretro.org/Gens/GS * License : GPL Programming Lang: C, C++, Assembly Description : Sega Genesis / Sega CD / Sega 32X emulator Gens/GS is an emulator for the Sega Genesis, Sega CD, and Sega 32X. The source can be downloaded at http://info.sonicretro.org/images/9/92/Gens-2.15.5-gs-m6.tar.gz.
