I found this code https://github.com/CleverCloud/Quercus/tree/master/modules/jcr/src/javax/jcr for the JCR API and it seems to be licensed under GPL-2+. I'm going to investigate about the origin of this code later since I was also interested in the packaging of Jackrabbit.
