Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Andreas Tille * Package name: libvcflib Version : 1.0.0~rc1 Upstream Author : Erik Garrison * URL : https://github.com/ekg/vcflib * License : MIT Programming Lang: C++ Description : C++ library for parsing and manipulating VCF files The Variant Call Format (VCF) is a flat-file, tab-delimited textual format intended to concisely describe reference-indexed variations between individuals. VCF provides a common interchange format for the description of variation in individuals and populations of samples, and has become the defacto standard reporting format for a wide array of genomic variant detectors. . vcflib provides methods to manipulate and interpret sequence variation as it can be described by VCF. It is both: . * an API for parsing and operating on records of genomic variation as it can be described by the VCF format, * and a collection of command-line utilities for executing complex manipulations on VCF files. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Jonathan Carter * Package name: bundlewrap Version : 2.8.0 Upstream Author : Torsten Rehn Peter Hofmann Tim Buchwaldt * URL : http://www.bundlewrap.org/ * License : GPLv3+ Programming Lang: Python Description : Simple, decentralized configuration management with Python BundleWrap fills the gap between complex deployments using Chef or Puppet and old school system administration over SSH. While most other config management systems rely on a client-server architecture, BundleWrap works off a repository cloned to your local machine. It then automates the process of SSHing into your servers and making sure everything is configured the way it's supposed to be. You won't have to install anything on managed servers. I'm a user of this software myself, and plan to maintain it as part of the Debian Python Application Packaging Team (PAPT).

I'm tempted to adopt this package as I use it regularily and it's part of my standard desktop setup and I don't want to see it drop out of Debian. Nevertheless I'm happy if anyone else is totally keen on maintaining this packaged. I'm also glad about anyone who is joining as a co-maintainer. I'll soon create a collab-maint git repository for the packaging. Input can be both draft assemblies and finished genomes, and output includes variant (SNP) calls, core genome phylogeny and multi-alignments. Parsnp leverages contextual information provided by multi-alignments surrounding SNP sites for filtration/cleaning, in addition to existing tools for recombination detection/filtration and phylogenetic reconstruction. It implements the 5 DXT flavours and has SIMD support for x86 (SSE) and powerpc (Altivec). It can be used (as a much slower software fallback) instead of the hardware implementations present on most modern graphics chips. Bug#834846: RFA: cadabra -- field-theory motivated computer algebra system
retitle 834846 O: cadabra -- field-theory motivated computer retitle 834847 O: modglue -- C++ library for handling of multiple co-processes kthxbye Iulian mentioned to the MIA team that he mixed up "O" and "RFA" and hence only filed "RFA"s but mean "O". He retitled all his RFAs to O except two: He didn't retitle cadabra and its dependency modglue because at that time it seemed that they were on the brink of adoption. The adoption plan was to replace cadabra 1.x with cadabra 2.x, but upstream said that 1.x and 2.x are not really compatible and that "cadabra2" should not be packaged as "cadabra", hence the adoption is moot for now. In the meanwhile upstream released a new cadabra 1.x upstream release which should address at least some parts of the FTBFS. I'll check if that suffices to get it building again and if so, will make a QA upload. Bug#838057: ITP: haskell-relational-record -- A type-safe query generator
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Kei Hibino * Package name: haskell-relational-record Version : 0.1.5.1 Upstream Author : Kei Hibino * URL : http://khibino.github.io/haskell-relational-record/ * License : BSD3 Programming Lang: Haskell Description : A type-safe query generator Haskell Relational Record (HRR) is a query generator based on typed relational algebra and a mapper between SQL value lists and Haskell record types. Abstracted - relations are expressed as high level expressions and they are translated into SQL statements. Drivers are provided for DB2, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and OracleSQL. Type safe - SQL statements produced by HRR are guaranteed to be valid if the Haskell code compiles. Even the types of placeholders are propagated. Composable - relations can be composed to build bigger relations. Automatic - SQL schema is obtained from a target DB and Haskell types are automatically generated at compile time. - This package is meta package and manual documentation of Haskell Relatoinal Record ( http://khibino.github.io/haskell-relational-record/ ) project. - I'm planning to maintain this package inside the pkg-haskell team. - I need a sponsor.

Bug#838058: RFA: yc-el -- Yet another Canna client for Emacsen
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the yc-el package. I no longer use this package. I'll orphan this. The package description is: Canna client for emacs21 or xemacs with MULE support. yc.el is implemented in pure elisp, allowing use of Canna on emacsen without direct support for Canna. . Canna is a Japanese input method.
Bug#838059: RFA: canna-shion -- supporting dictionaries for Canna
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the canna-shion package. I no longer use canna. I'll orphan this package. The package description is: Shion is a set of dictionaries supporting Canna. It has much more words than original dictionaries of Canna and it makes Canna more intelligent.
