Bug#673669: Any ideas?
Would love to get to the bottom of this. Do you need any more information?
Debugging documents at http://x.debian.net/ need some additions
It would be good if document would tell how to run X server under valgrind. Also undocumented is how to turn core files on when using lightdm and xfce. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-x-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#673669: CRT Monitor connected DVIVGA not detected properly
On Sun, Jun 10, 2012 at 12:33:17PM +0100, DAVID HAND wrote: Would love to get to the bottom of this. Do you need any more information? Could be kernel bug too, similar? issue was fixed recently in 3.2.x kernel (in Debian wheezy/sid). But it was in radeon driver. You could try 3.2.x kernel from squeeze-backports (for example) and see if it works there. Maybe it makes sense to file bug for kernel package and attach full dmesg from kernel boot with that report. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-x-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. These experimental libraries provide convenience functions and interfaces which make the raw X protocol more usable.
