Bug#661073: [xorg] Same here due to 'FontPath "unix/:7100"'
Package: xorg Version: 1:7.6+13 --- Please enter the report below this line. --- The same happened to me when I updated to unstable and I needed days to find out why. It all boiled down to the line 'FontPath "unix/:7100"' in xorg.conf. (And unfortunately, I did not find this bug entry until I had found out.) Like the reporter's, my system is quite old (about 14 years). Is this FontPath entry obsolete? If so, would it possible to remove the line when upgrading, or at least to give a hint? Because, for example, I might want to cross-grade the whole system without crossgrading dpkg and xorg at the same time. Or because I just want to check which version works better. Also, there are other packages depending on xkb-data. And some of them are already "Multi-Arch: same". Bug#677886: mesa: please compile with --enable-gallium-g3dvl to provide `libvdpau_r600`
Package: mesa-utils Version: 8.0.1-2+b3 Severity: normal Dear Debian folks, `xserver-xorg-video-radeon` 6.14.3 changelog contains the following [1]. Highlights: * Support for more cards, in particular Llano APUs. * KMS page flipping fixes. * vdpau/XvMC support (currently only available for >= R3xx via Gallium3D). Asking on IRC channel #radeon how to use that tstellar told me to build Mesa with `--enable-gallium-g3dvl`. I think that creates the library `libvdpau_r600` which for example MPlayer can use. Is it possible to build and package that library? Thanks, Paul PS: I am sorry for probably assigning this report to the wrong package.
